I ordered only 2 tacos with chip. I had to wait 30 minutes for 2 tacos even though there was only few customers (definitely not a busy day). I ended up receiving my foods after 30 minutes and it was surprisingly cold.

Although I love Cafe Rio, I dread coming in to this location. I prefer online ordering, but their pickup process is anything but simple. You still have to wait up to 10-15 minutes for your order while they’re also serving in-line customers. Efficiency could use some major improvements. Would also love to see curbside as an option too to save stress.

In the last year. The staff have been putting too much salt on everything especially the beans. I used to order meals from cafe rio the minimum 3 days a week. I had to slow down on the visits. Because my doctor asked me to stop adding salt to my meals. So, not sure where the sodium intake was coming from. At home I don’t use salt when cooking. I decided to stop eating from cafe rio. My number from sodium went down. My blood pressure went back to normal. Today, I want to purchase the salad with grilled chicken. What a disappointment it was so salty. I could finish my meal. They put salt in the bean, meat, and in everything. This food take pride by saying it all natural veggies and ingredients. But they ruined there’s brand by adding too much salt the natural flavors are gone. Too bad, wondering if anyone else had the same experience.

I had a great experience with my online order today! Not only was the food delicious, but it was actually ready ahead of the promised time. When I arrived, the staff member who was doing the online orders that day was incredibly polite, asked my name for the order, and took a moment to genuinely thank me for my business. I ordered 2 tacos and I had to wait 20 minutes for my order even that I ordered online. The lady on the back line looks so rude. My tacos didn’t have enough meat they only put more juice than meat and I asked for picó de gallo and I see that the put only tomatoes.

I love their salad bowl. Pro tip: get the sweet pork on the side. Seems like they give a more generous portion and saves well to make a burrito from the remainder of this very generous salad portion that is already served on top of their delicious fresh made tortilla.

Freshness of the food didn’t look too appealing. Rice was burnt to container and they still chose to pull rice from it. The second employee to service me on the line really didn’t understand English, which made harder to have questions answered. The sitting area is big but really needed to be cleaned and freshened. Really different from the other locations. Other than that the food was good, long as you can ignore the rest.

The food is always phenomenal. Chicken Tortilla soup is a must every time I go. They started offering bowl recently and it is really good. The food tastes fresh and the tortillas are really good. I like that they cook certain items to order so it’s nice and hot. The staff is really nice and very helpful. Their queso is really good as well, like the guacamole, and lastly the Horchata is also very good.

I placed an order online this past Sunday evening. The email I received said the order would be ready at 5:40PM. I showed up at about 5:45 and was ignored for at least 5 minutes until I was able to get an employee’s attention. He looked at the tickets, found my order and said he didn’t know when it would be ready. I waited a little while longer and asked the person checking people out about it and he asked the manager to help me. The manager asked for my name and then looked at the tickets waiting and then went back to working on the online orders. I assumed she was working on mine until someone came in to ask about there order and the manager told him they were out of steak. I had ordered an entire with steak. Frustrated and over it, I ask the manager for a refund. She told me to wait. At 6:20 (40 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready I stepped in front of the employee checking people out and told him he needed to get manager to come issue my refund. She came over screwed around on the computer for a few minutes and said she couldn’t issue a refund because I ordered the food online. I sent an email to address in the confirmation email but they have yet respond with anything other than an automated response saying they’ll follow-up within 5 business days. I will never eat at another Cafe Rio ever again.
