We ordered two yami yami rolls and a side of noodles. The rolls where good but they literally gave us plain noodles. Like plain boiled noodles no sauce no veggies no anything? 10-2-19 Wednesday night. So we went to this place for dinner. It took forever for someone to come ask us what we would like to drink or even speak to us. We waited a long time for the food to come out. The service was not good at all. I had to keep asking for refills etc the waitress was “mia” The food was average “not bad”. The location was extremely dated and did not feel clean. The location also felt like there was a lot of moisture in the air, it felt damp. When I went to wash my hands there were no paper towels to dry my hands, the restroom also did not look clean.

I ordered the “Las Vegas,” and it did not taste good at all. The sauce tasted burnt and the sushi fell apart on the plate. The overall taste was not fresh nor favorable. I am familiar enough with sushi to know that it was just not prepared and made well.

Was my first visit here and I ordered the Crazy Maki and crab ragoons. They did NOT disappoint. Loved the sushi roll, I ordered a side of eel sauce to dip it in. It’s the perfect combo of spicy, crunchy, and sweet dip.

This location is no where near as good as the Monroe location. When my squid salad came out I knew not to be excited. The portion alone for the price was ridiculous and it didn’t look or taste fresh.

I’ve been going to Raw over the last five years and most know it to be one of my favorite places for their food selection.
I have absolutely no complaints about their sushi. It has always been wonderful in taste and presentation.
With other dishes, I’ve had mixed reviews from the times that I’ve been. Some way better than others of course, but the quality does seem to vary.
I have to agree with another reviewer that their monroe location was extremely better at their customer service and food quality. Sadly, it has since closed.
You would benefit more from dining in here than takeout. Their takeout portions are much smaller than dine in. They also seem more accommodating for the dine-in experience. For dine in alone, I would definitely rate Rawz higher.
For taste of food and best selection in the area, definitely try Rawz!
Update: my most recent dine-in experience exceeded my expectations. It still holds true that to get the best experience, you should definitely dine in!
