Went on a whim and struck gold. I was traveling in Athens area and tried it out for breakfast. I ordered a chicken biscuit and a Samoa donut. Biscuit was flavorful and fresh. Donut initially threw me off. It looked like a cake donut, but was a great fluffy bite with crisp edges and the perfect level of sweetness.

Cafe Racer is a fantastic spot with a great vibe and consistently delicious food. The atmosphere is welcoming and unique, making it a perfect place to relax or catch up with friends. Service is friendly and efficient, and everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. Definitely a place worth visiting again.

Solid breakfast burritos, donuts and coffee. The biscuit was fine- great toppings and lots of options, however the biscuit itself was pretty underwhelming.
That being said, I ordered an All the Way and was given a Becky, which wasn’t really the kind of thing I would usually order, so maybe I’ll come back another time and make sure I get a biscuit I’m more likely to enjoy.
Solid food but the wait is really long and my order got messed up- hoping this was an isolated thing since I think the overall concept is pretty fun.

Great coffee & donut place! They have vegan donuts (usually 1-2 options I think), even though it isn’t posted anywhere on their menu or website. I asked at the counter and they said two flavors were vegan – lemon poppy seed and cherry crunch (not sure if they rotate so make sure to always ask). Good coffee and they had plant based dairy free options like oat milk and almond milk. Delicious and filling! Wish they would add vegan symbol/wording to menu or at least online

This place is the shit! You get so much food for the price you pay, I got the Mile High burrito for $12 and it was so huge I took the other half home and my friend got the Tater Boy biscuit with bacon. Their service was also so great, the employees were really kind. Our coffee was only delayed by 10 minutes but they were so sweet and brought us some free doughnut holes for waiting (the lemon poppyseed and pumpkin spice are great flavors). The seating is great and very lowkey. Bonus points for whoever was on aux today because I was jamming to the 80s soundtrack.

My review is only on the Pumpkin Spice Latte(iced). It is not good or passable, as other reviews noted coffee is lacking. My issue is the syrup, it’s horrible. The after taste and initial sick sweetness is bad. I would caution against buying their coffee.
Their current setup for Halloween, especially at night, is cool.
Service is good.
For better Pumpkin Spice latte, I recommend Condor Chocolates Downtown.

Closer to 4 stars than 5 for me, but I’m not a coffee person, so look elsewhere for that feedback. Quality breakfast menu, quick service for a big crowd and a welcome switch up from the usual favorites. I need to come back to try more menu options. Worth the experience.

Cafe Racer is serving the best Fried Chicken Sandwich and Fries. PERIOD
I’ve tried countless chicken sandwiches around Athens, GA, but this one takes the crown. The chicken is juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior that adds a satisfying crunch. And don’t even get me started on the fries – they’re hands-down the crispiest and most delicious I’ve had in town. The combination of the two is absolute perfection. If you’re a chicken sandwich lover like me, do yourself a favor and get to Cafe Racer ASAP. You won’t regret it!

I went to the original location in Arnoldsville years ago and loved it. I thought it was the best biscuits I have ever had. I saw this new location in Athens and expected the same great food. I was greatly disappointed. Although the food is fresh and the portions are large the taste is not even remotely close to as good. The biscuits look like mass produced frozen biscuits and task like it. I definitely got a school breakfast vibe from the biscuit. The egg and bacon where good quality so I trashed the biscuit and jusr ate the toppings. For $9 I expected a much better biscuit. I would buy it again if it was $5 but not for $9. Cafe Racer is always busy so maybe it is just me, but I’m sad to say it was not as good as I expected.

I was in the area and this place did NOT disappoint! It had a drive-by-esque to the place where you eat outside after picking up your food. The food, itself, was great. It had a unique kick to your “classic biscuit” with flavors such as jalapeño cream, buffalo sauce, and a cheese crust.
