Cozy family-owned counter-serve nook offering pierogi & other Polish standards, plus beer & wine.

We stopped here while passing through Columbia, and we are so glad we did! The food was delicious, and the service was great! Madison is really kind and personable! We tried their kraut dog, pierogies, and strawberry crepe. Everything was great! If you stop, I’d definitely recommended getting a crepe for some dessert. Highly recommend this place!

I couldn’t recommend Cafe Poland more! Having never tried Polish food before, I was shocked by how delicious everything was. The iced mocha was the best iced mocha I have ever had; it had a delicious coffee flavor with a the perfect amount of sweetness. My friend and I ordered both the PB&J and the Spinach and Feta crepes, and we found them both delicious. At the end of our meal, we were given complimentary Polish candy with our check. Our server, Antoine, was so friendly and attentive. He even remembered our names! The atmosphere is homey and clean. I signed the guestbook and hope to be back very soon!

The pierogis were delicious especially when eaten with sour cream and I can tell that those were made with care. The kielbasa with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes were delicious too but I wished that the mashed potatoes had a little more salt or butter in it. The house coffee was fine, and the onions could use a little bit less salt since it was on the saltier side. The inside had a homey and cozy feel to it which perfectly fits the chilly autumn vibe. To make things even better, the owners who run the restaurant are very friendly and went out of their way to initiate a conversation with me. Overall, I would definitely return the next time I’m in Columbia.

My girlfriend and I came to cafe Poland on our 1 year anniversary last year and wrote in the notebook they have for guests to leave comments. We said something along the lines of “today is our 1 year anniversary and we’re happy we spent lunch here!” Or something like that.
The next time we came in, the two new owners recognized us and remembered our names. They gave us free dessert in honor of our 1 year anniversary since they didn’t know about it the day of. Absolutely incredible customer service. My girlfriend and I were blown away that they even remembered our name, let alone remembered what we wrote in the book.
I was really worried when I heard Iwona was selling the place. I didn’t think anybody would have the same passion and commitment Iwona had for the restaurant she made a name for. Antoine and Madison have proved me wrong and I’m so happy for that. The soul of Iwona’s Cafe Poland is alive and thriving under their care.
10/10 food, atmosphere and customer service. 11/10, even. It’s my favorite spot to have a nice date with my girlfriend 🙂
(I highly recommend the breakfast hotdog. It’s my favorite dish there. I’ve attached a photo of it here)

Passing through and wanted to try something new and unique. While the outside we were suspect of. The inside was extremely cute, comfortable and inviting! Not to mention hearing the story of the current owners taking over the operations and doing so with grace and ease. On top of it all the food was obviously made with love and authenticity. Absolutely would go back in and instant. My new favorite place!

This is an amazing place. Excellent service, authentic Polish cuisine. Antuan, the friendly host and co-owner, took his time explaining the menu to customers. We had cabbage rolls with tomato sauce, crepes with berries and sweet cream, and pierogies. Everything tasted fresh, (not greasy), just like freshly cooked homemade food with clean, simple ingredients. I’m really glad we found this place. If you are in Columbia, you have got to try it! It’s all about the experience but also about the quality of the food. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is a cozy hole in the wall down a side street of downtown Columbia. The pierogies are filling, the borscht was tasty, and the service was helpful and quick. I look forward to going back and trying more of the authentic polish dishes.
