Who keeps utensils on top of the trash bin? Owner NEVER answers the phone. I saw a roach in the mens bathroom and by the trash can. Aside from all that, food is good, not the best, but its edible. Irani chai is good, but if you have diabetes stay away from it. Pastries are okay for the price, i had the forest cake and it was stale. I enjoy eating kidchri keema from here. I had their chicken dum biryani and it was a huge disappointment! Try Bawarchi or even Swadeshi restaurants. Rabdi is like sipping on carnation milk. Bread/cookies are always there, not sure if anyone even buys it. Double ka meetha is also good. Overall its a good restaurant that many people dont know about, since its empty almost all the time. He seriously need to answer his cell phone!!!!!!!!!!! He lost me as a customer only because he wouldn’t answer his phone so I can order ahead of time instead of waiting in the restaurant.

Pretty underwhelming and disappointing overall. The food was average at best, and the service was extremely slow. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and were the only ones in the restaurant when we arrived for lunch. Several items on the menu weren’t available, including Bheja Fry and Boti, which was disappointing.

Here’s what we tried:

Paya/Shorba – 2/5: Watery and overly salty, though the kulcha/shermal was good.

Kheema/Poori – 3/5: Kheema was flavorful, but the poori was cold and oily.

Mutton Marag – 1/5: Full of oil and lacking flavor. They replaced it, but the second one wasn’t much better.

Pepper Chicken – 3/5: Decent.

Chicken Dum Biryani – 3/5: Just okay.

Mutton Dum Biryani – 1/5: Meat was undercooked and tough.

Naan – 1/5: Dry and overcooked.

Was quite excited to visit after seeing the menu, but overall, the experience was disappointing and the food underwhelming.

Had a wonderful experience enjoying Irani chai with malai cake. The chai was perfectly brewed—strong, aromatic, and comforting—just the way authentic Irani chai should be. The malai cake was soft, fresh, and mildly sweet, pairing beautifully with the hot tea. A simple yet nostalgic combo that truly hits the spot. Highly recommended for chai lovers!

Whenever I miss Indian food, I love coming to Dallas to satisfy my cravings. There are a lot of Indian restaurants in the city and since I love traveling and trying different foods, I’ve almost covered every Indian restaurant in Dallas. Recently, I visited Cafe Osmania in McKinney and though they are newly opened, I’ve already become a regular especially for their chai and biskets. The chai here makes me feel like I’m back home in India. It’s just wow and the biskets are so soft and flavorful. I also love the vibe of the place small cute and with a touch of Hyderabadi attitude. The people are so warm and welcoming. There’s a guy at the store named Gynashwar i asked him to recommend something and he told me to try their paya, mutton marag, and malai paya. Since the first time I tried them they became my favorites. The flavors genuinely surprised me. The paya reminded me of Hotel Niagara and Sohail Hotel back in Hyderabad and the malai paya tasted just like the one from Bismillah Hotel. We Hyderabadis love Shadab and Bismillah especially Bismillah it’s open all night and serves incredible food after hours. Honestly it feels like they’ve copied the recipe perfectly and are serving it right here in Dallas. The malai paya is just excellent I absolutely love it and have become a huge fan. I now visit at least three times a week and try different dishes every time.

Since this place opened, I’ve never missed asli authentic Hyderabadi food. The marag is next level. Everything here is amazing. I can confidently say their biryani is the best in town RANK 1 for authentic Hyderabadi biryani. It reminds me of Cafe Bahar back home and it’s my favorites!!

And let’s talk about the malai bun oh my god! Just by looking at the texture, you’d rate it 100/100. The feel, the texture, the taste just wow! After work, I always stop by for chai and malai bun they’re both simply delicious.

I asked Gynashwar whether they make everything homemade, and he proudly told me they make everything fresh in-house nothing is store-bought. I even asked to take a look at their back kitchen and the staff were super clean and busy preparing fresh cakes, pastries, and puffs. I could see the passion in their work and I genuinely loved the process.

From the bottom of my heart I want to say I love you people! The way you’re making food with such care and authenticity you’ll definitely become number one in town very soon, I promise! From cream buns to puffs, pastries, and everything else they truly make the best in town.

I even started ordering cakes from them for birthdays and parties. Everyone who’s tried them has loved the taste and been surprised at how good it is!!!

Overall, everything is top-notch and I would rate it

We had a great time here celebrating my birthday at this place.

We tasted mouthwatering dishes – Samosa, Bun Maska, Osmania Biscuits, Paya, Bheja Fry, Biryani and amazing dessert.

The staff, the owners were very hospitable, warm and friendly. The overall experience was memorable, I would certainly go back.

If you are visiting and need suggestions. I suggest seeking the chef’s recommendation. You’ll love it!

This one is a hidden gem! Came back couple of times to try their best sellers. If you’re looking for an evening snack combinations of teas, Bun Maska, Malai bun, and samosas look no further!

On my second visit, tried boti fry with poori and biryanis. Absolutely delicious! You’ll never be disappointed. They have ample parking and it’s away from traffic. Had a pleasant evenings both the times.

While most reviews rave about the food here, we had a disappointing experience. The biryani didnt seem fresh. The rice wasn’t steamy or fluff. Its definitely from a day or 2 ago. I wa surprised they didnt have salan when they pride themselves as a Hyderabadi restaurant.

Chicken majestic wasn’t authentic. We got chewy hard chicken.

The osmania cookies were good though.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first experience with Hyderabadi cuisine at this restaurant. The food was exceptional and the service was excellent.

The Highlights:
=============
Exceptional Food: The standouts were the chicken curry, which was rich, complex, and aromatic with floral notes of cardamom and clove, and the savory chicken puffed pastry. Both were delicious and highly recommended.

Excellent Service: The staff was incredibly friendly and patient, offering helpful guidance as we navigated the menu for the first time.

Clean & Pleasant Atmosphere: The restaurant is tidy and provides a decent, casual atmosphere for a quick lunch or dinner.

Considerations for Diners:
=====================
Service Style: Be aware that food is served on disposable plates with plasticware, aligning with a fast-casual dining experience.

Menu Navigation: The digital menu lacks pictures or descriptions, which can be challenging for those unfamiliar with the cuisine. We also noticed some menu items (like Tandoori options) appeared on the screen only after we ordered, and the Biryani was unfortunately unavailable during our visit.

Authentic Preparation: The chicken is served bone-in and with skin, which is traditional for this style of cuisine. Diners accustomed to boneless, skinless meat should be prepared for this authentic presentation.

A Minor Note: We sampled the chai, which was flavorful but had a slightly bitter aftertaste (potentially from evaporated milk) that wasn’t to our personal preference.

Overall, we had a fantastic meal and will definitely return to further explore the menu. This is a great spot for authentic, high-quality food in a casual setting.
