The food is delicious. The restaurant is in the middle of a bunch of little stores. It almost feels like you’re outside on a patio, but you’re inside. The staff is very friendly and they’ve all been there a long time I believe, our waitress said she was there when she was pregnant and we got to see her little boy and he’s a big boy. She’s super great. We’ve gotten her both times that we’ve gone together. We get the chicken salad and the antipasto salad and split them between the two of us. The full salads are huge so now we are getting one full-size salad and one half sized salad to split. Everything is fresh and delicious. They never let your drinks run out. There’s plenty of stuff to look at.

We ended up here because another place was closed and we are so glad we did. The staff and service were great. They were personable and friendly. Treated us like they knew us. The food was amazing! The prices are low but the size of the meals are quite large. We enjoyed everything we had; omelet, pancakes, French toast, biscuit, and quiche. My favorite was definitely the quiche. The presentation was so professional on every plate. It’s a very cute location. I would recommend here to anyone that finds themselves in downtown Greer!

Cafe on Trade is a laid-back, relaxed environment. The staff are friendly and down-to-earth people. Food is good, (the grits are fantastic!), prices are very reasonable. Sometimes when its busy it takes a little while for staff to initially greet you — if you’re local and a regular, you know that’s part of the charm about Cafe on Trade. If you want a place to eat where you can chill out, not be rushed, with an eclectic vibe… this is the spot. I love it, its our go-to place.

Abbey, our waitress was very nice. We ordered the biscuits and gravy with toast and a drink. It was very good. We made an inquiry about their creamy grits. Mmmm, definitely a must. I’ve never had grits like that. They were hot, creamy, and excellent.
Please be sure to stop in. See the pictures I took while there.
Its an old department store and they have small rooms with clothing inside each one. There are stairs to go up and there’s more items. We couldn’t go up, unfortunately, because my sister had had surgery a few weeks earlier and wasn’t able to.
There are 2- 4 person tables and there is a small room with more tables available.
There are rules at the Cafe on Trade, which I have posted in the photos. You won’t regret stopping by. We’ll go back in a few weeks.

The owner took care of us and it was truly the best service we have ever had! We were debating if we should get breakfast or lunch, and the owner brought us a sample of grits and gravy – they were the best. We ended up ordering breakfast and the owner brought us some cookies and fruit as well. Really wonderful experience, you can tell they care about their customers and the quality of the food they are serving.

Great little breakfast place. Try the omelets. Really good and the grits! The server was good, owners were friendly. Nice change. Don’t expect it to be fast, it’s not, so go when you have time to browse the boutiques while you wait or just have some time. Get a cookie before leaving, fabulous!

Absolutely fantastic. I adored the atmosphere here. It was unique and quiet, but the lovely staff were kind and lively. Being our first time, one of the staff (Eddie) brought us some samples of their grits, sausage gravy, and chocolate chip cookies. They were amazing. The gravy went wonderfully with the grits (and I dont even like grits), and the cookie was perfect.
We ordered the Ruben, Philly Cheesesteak, pasta salad, potato salad, a half order of the chicken and cranberries salad to share, as well as a tomato basil quiche.
Everything was amazing. And truly homemade! It was Fun and exciting trying new dishes! Their flavors were interesting and earthy, which I truly enjoyed. And healthier than some other places.
Just don’t forget the rule! This place makes everything to order, so don’t come here if you’re in a rush. Let them take their time preparing the meal, and you won’t soon forget it. I will be returning with my family in tow, for another wonderful lunch.

We had a lovely breakfast Sunday with family. The grits are outstanding. My husband doesn’t usually like grits, loves these. Large portions, friendly atmosphere, and good iced tea make this a new favorite.
