We ate here before visiting the WWII museum, which the cafe was in a great location for. However, the pricing and portion of the food was not worth it in our opinion. Our server was not very attentive, we went over 10 minutes with empty glasses in a dead restaurant. The atmosphere was dead and uptight. We spent a third of the cost the next morning at the French Toast restaurant near the French Market and had a much better experience and portion sizes.

Held our Woodward gathering at Café Normandie bar. Excellent staff, lovely ambiance, we even had a Jazz trio! My people are still talking about the generous and delicious food.
A new tradition!

Cafe Normandie’s atmosphere is really beautiful! This resort just opened recently so it was not crowded at all, which gave us a nice, quiet dinner. I’m giving this a 4 star review because some of the rice in our gumbo was hard. We politely told our server, who immediately told the cooks, and we heard them say they were cooking a whole new batch. Other than that our food was delicious! I’ve never had mirliton dressing out anywhere (except for my mother’s at home) and it was so good! My husband even loved it and he usually doesn’t eat shrimp! Our server, Garyelle, was very sweet and helpful. Love this unique addition to New Orleans honoring the WWII era! We look forward to returning in the future!

Service and atmosphere were great. Food was just OK. Ham, spinach, and cheese omlete was cooked a little to long, taste of over cooked egg and butter. Grits were nice and creamy, coffee was good, but French toast had a raspberry jam that had an odd taste.

We went for brunch and had no trouble getting a table. Our waiter was attentive and kind. The portions are decent and a little on the rich side – you won’t leave hungry. For lighter fare, the avocado toast is delicious.

I enjoyed everything about the place. The coffee was super good. The coffee tasted fresh, not like it was on a warmer for days. The shrimp and grits is the highlight. The grits were smooth and creamy, the shrimp perfectly cooked, and the sauces was absolutely delicious.

Theres a convienence store inside this hotel that has pre-prepared meals, cofee and tea. They also have normal hotel gift shop items one might need on short trips. The prices arent all that bad either. This store I believe is named after Normandy, Frwnce. This store is close to the WWII musewm in downtown NO

The service certainly left things to be desired. Staff were kind but absent. Coffee came without offering of cream and there were no spoons or stirrers. It was after a food had come that we were finally able to ask for creamer and by then coffee was like warm. Staff were numb and unapologetic about it.
That being said – the food was delicious. My reddish was cooked perfectly. Husbands Flatbread was warm, not hot, but tasted very good. Lovely atmosphere.

FABULOUS! Had a divine brunch and throughly enjoyed it. The crab stuffed tomatoes with green apple and toast was delicious! I had the baked loaded grits with a beautiful cheese crust. The Brioche French Toast was a real treat! Real Maple Syrup was a nice touch.

One morning, while waiting for the World War II museum to open up, I couldn’t think of any other better place that the universe would have put me in to have breakfast. This establishment served up quite a mean crawfish omelette with diced shrimp.
