The newly renovated and reopened Café NOMA by Ralph Brennan features a delicious array of artisanal flatbreads, sandwiches, salads and veggie bowls alongside an artful assortment of freshly baked breads and sweets inside a show-stopping pastry case. Blurring the lines between refreshment retreat and gallery space, this stellar venue features a dramatic installation of vessels for food and drink from the museum’s permanent collection, designed in collaboration with the curatorial team. Spanning the entire wall behind a 24′ long upholstered banquette, the seventy-two-object display covers the vast range of the museum’s extraordinary collection of world art.

Modern cafe at the Museum of Art offering elevated Louisiana-accented small plates & garden views.

I love that this place exists. It’s super cute for a stop in during lunch while you are hanging at the park. It’s even a plus they serve alcohol. Everything is reasonably priced and the staff is really nice.

Cafe NOMA is truly a hidden gem. The food is good, and there’s a few options for coffee and alcoholic beverages as well. It’s also a great place to work remotely and the space is beautiful.

Whether you eat meat or are vegan, this place will have something. I like their poke bowl as well as the fries (with toppings). They also sometimes have themed menus if there is a special museum exhibition, which I appreciate. The cafe is more like a cafeteria, so not terribly cozy and it can get very loud if it’s busy.

Initially, our experience was great. I notified the workers that I have a severe peanut allergy, and they were attentive and specially made my salad. The food at first seemed to be fresh and good quality. However, as I was eating my salad, I noticed a spider in the food. The manager refunded both me and my friend and said this has never happened, but unfortunately I will not be returning, as produce should always be thoroughly washed and inspected before being served.

The food was really good, had the ham and cheese croissant. The croissant was amazing golden and flaky. It was over priced, but entering the New Orleans Museum of Art was free on this day, so it balanced out.

Though the service was fast, the food is overpriced. 2 adults, and 3 children at $75 is a lot. There aren’t many options to eat in the area when visiting City Park, besides Cafe DuMonde, and they don’t have lunch options. So it was suggested to come to this Cafe inside of the New Orleans Museum of Art. Unfortunately, we will try to find another place to eat next time. The food was good, just overpriced.

Chef Feit and staff(Jennifer front of house) had VERY good food. Chef indulge me with Amuse Bouche. Service was superb. A disabled vet friend is doing internships there… so be on lookout soon for Chef Demetria Johnson. This is respite culinary treat from heat/humidity. Highly recommend without reservations. Caveat I always do 4 ratings to leave room for improvements and updates…(shh! Actually on a scale of 1-10,they are 11…shh!!)

After riding around 10KM, on a trike, around New Orleans’s City Park, I worked up an appetite for lunch.

A lot of what they sold looked very good, didn’t get much, but the latte was bad. The espresso used tasted like bland burnt coffee. The baked goods and cocktails looked more quality, so I gave 4 stars. Maybe I just got a bad batch.
