Pretty decent mì quảng tho it has too much broth and chicken is a but too dry. I like how they have banana blossom because not a lot of place does. Bún bò is pretty standard; it has beef, pork pie, and pork blood cube. I did have to add a bit more mắm ruốc (which is available on the table). It seems their red meat bánh mì might be good as it was sold out when we were there. Pretty small restaurant.

SO delicious!! haven’t seen mi quang elsewhere in the US and was excited to try it here. the flavor of that and the bun bo rieu were some of the best I’ve had.

Genuine Lam
Amazing little family owned spot in Kensington that’s underrated and under the radar! This to me is the spirit of Philadelphia, punching above its weight and still crushing nonetheless. We had the Bun Canh and the Bun Bo Hue (highly recommended by Frankie from nearby Caphe Roasters). Both had deep, nuanced flavors in their respective broths, and bouncy, fresh noodles. We will be back to try other items on the menu. Heartily recommended!

This is a hidden gem in the middle of the “needle” town. Hands down one of the best Mi Quang restaurant in the North East.
I came in for brunch on a Monday and got seated right away. The special Mi Quang reminds me of the flavors when I used to live back home. The egg rolls was extremely crispy. I also ordered a Chicken Banh Mi as well and it was amazing.
They’d prefer cash so I would recommend bringing some along. The street is a bit sketchy so look out and don’t leave anything valuable that addicts might be able to see.

Plainly; Fraud. I was charged in advance, which is weird. The food was served looking at the floor.
I ordered and paid $20 cash for three hoagies/bahn mi for 2.
#11 & 13 were identical; a stale, thin hoagie containing only a handful of julliened veg and paste. No protein, whatsoever.
#12 had all that, plus a half a pinky thick roll of paste.
Lucky for me it was little for nothing.

I came here on Sunday and it was a beautiful day. There is street parking available. I went with another person and we ordered a Bun Rieu and Mi Quang noodles. It was absolutely delicious! Bun Rieu is a Vietnamese soup of clear stock and rice vermicelli. The Mi Quang noodles consisted of noodles, meat and herbs. The peanut oil definitely made it more tasteful and enjoyable. We did not have to wait long before the food came. I also like the fact that this place is family owned! The restaurant owner is always friendly when he greets us and is quite hilarious – in a good way, of course! Both bowls came out steaming hot the way we liked it. I am especially a fan of the Cha Lua that is included in both bowls. Cha Lua is known as a type of sausage that is made of pork roll. They taste so good and is super fresh! Their calming instrumental Vietnamese music is relaxing and brings back many memories of Home. Their Vietnamese iced coffee with extra condensed milk is also to die for! I also did like the flan, but next time maybe I wouldn’t sprinkle coffee on top! Overall, 10/10 and I will always come back here.

Having lived as an American expat in Da Nang for three years, not a day goes by that I don’t deeply miss the quality of authentic Vietnamese food. The food at Café Mi Quang is the first I’ve had here in America that rivals what you’ll enjoy sitting on a small plastic stool at a streetside eatery in Da Nang, Saigon, or Hanoi. I highly recommend the mi quang with shrimp and pork. The bi-lingual staff here are super nice, and made us feel warmly welcomed. In addition to their dine-in and take-out meals, they have pre-prepared foods like banh bao, puddings, flans, dried seafood, and pre-packaged soups. Come check it out!

Great banh mi but the owner is incredibly rude. He told me to leave while I was eating my food at one of their many empty tables because I did not order enough food. I bought a banh mi and a stuffed bun for 11$ and he kicked me out. There were 0 other people sitting at tables. I tried to support small business instead of my usual run to Caphe, but how can I go back after being treated so poorly?

I always come here, and when the daughters are here I get amazing service. When the father is here, he is always so rude & disrespectful. We ordered our food & realized there was pork in it. We had apologized to him & told him, we can’t eat it & to please remake it. He had argued with us & told us it’s not his fault. And was worried about us paying for it rather than just re-making it. We ended up paying for the food & leaving without anything. We didn’t even eat. Mind you, I always come here. He is always rude & ignorant. He was worried more about the money than the service .

Had a very yummy bowl of Mi Quang! The noodles are perfectly cooked, and I liked that they added the puffed rice paper cracker and peanuts. I thought the broth alone could’ve used a touch more of salt/fishsauce, but the table has plenty of condiments to dress it up to your own taste!
