A huge shout-out to Francisco, who was an absolute standout. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and his professionalism and kindness made our night unforgettable.
And of course, Rolando, our server and bartender, was wonderful. His attention to detail, great recommendations, and warm personality made us feel so well taken care of. Every drink he made was amazing!
We will definitely be coming back — highly recommend this place to anyone looking for top-tier food and even better service. ️✨
The space is small but very pleasant. There is outdoor seating for nice weather days, and the interior is bright, clean, and welcoming. The overall atmosphere feels calm and inviting. From the moment we walked in, the staff made a strong impression: the manager/maître d’ and servers were friendly, attentive, and professional throughout. There is a warmth to the service that genuinely made the experience feel more like a neighborhood restaurant in Italy than a typical local lunch spot in South Florida .
We started with the Tricolore salad (endive, radicchio, arugula, lemon dressing, shaved parmesan). We chose it in part because bitter greens are known to be good for digestion, but it ended up being one of the highlights of the meal purely on taste. The greens were extremely fresh, the dressing was light and balanced, and the parmesan was used with restraint. It was one of those salads where every leaf seems lightly coated rather than overdressed. Simple, but executed at a very high level. I genuinely considered ordering a second one.
We also shared the Tagliatelle Bolognese. I don’t usually order Bolognese, but my girlfriend does, so we went with it. The sauce was excellent. It was rich in flavor but not heavy, well-seasoned without being salty, and layered with nuance. One of the better Bolognese sauces I’ve had. The pasta was very good; if I were being extremely picky, I would prefer it just slightly more al dente, but that’s me just being nitpicky.
The Pollo Limone was outstanding. Parmesan-crusted chicken in a white wine lemon sauce with fried basil. The chicken was tender and moist, and there was the perfect amount of lemon laced into the dish. I tend to overuse lemon on dishes (according to my girlfriend), but this needed nothing added. It was already exactly right. All of these dishes are the kind that I will remember later and actively crave. Portions were generous across all dishes.
It’s also worth mentioning presentation. Every dish that came out looked beautiful — thoughtfully plated and visually appealing. In fact, everything looked so good that we forgot to take photos before digging in. The pictures Im posting were taken after we had already eaten about half of each dish. We also ordered the broccolini. That was exceptional also. Crunchy, garlicky with the perfect amount of salt.
When it comes to the food itself — the salad, the Bolognese, and the Pollo Limone — each dish was a genuine five out of five. Not a 4.7, not a 4.8, not a 4.9, but a clear 5.
They served two types of bread: a traditional Italian-style bread and focaccia. Both were very good. We also ordered glasses of a Super Tuscan, which paired nicely and was enjoyable on its own.
Service deserves separate mention. We were helped primarily by William, who was attentive without hovering: water glasses filled, wine topped off, fresh cracked pepper offered, and even the crushed red pepper I requested was clearly fresh (not the stale, flavorless version many places serve). These details matter, and they were consistently handled well.
We will definitely return often. Strongly recommended for the food, service, and overall atmosphere. This is now my favorite lunch spot in Palm Beach County.
We came for the Flavor, great menu choices for $55.
Cesar salad: extremely dry and under-dressed
Cafe Med Salad: very light, the whipped feta tasted like a light yogurt dip. Tomatoes were a bit under ripe.
Branzino: light fresh but lacked flavor. I added salt n pepper
Chicken limon: again a bit under seasoned. I NEVER add salt n pepper but found myself reaching once again for salt n pepper, and added a squeeze of fresh lemon juice as it was ever so faint tasting. I could have used some more cream sauce as well.
Tiramisu: ever so delicate, I like a bit more espresso taste
Pistachio Olive Oil Cake: definitely the star of the meal. Moist, texture, not too sweet, just perfect w the accompanying ice cream!!
I’m glad we got to try Cafe Med, while it was a good meal I’m afraid the consensus was that no one was totally blown away by the dishes.
