I’m not sure how to explain this place. I love the seating, the jazz music playing, the pictures on the wall, plants. But half the store is coffee and the other half a traditional ice cream shop. They don’t fit together. Their selection of coffee was limited. Only cold options were adding ice to whatever hot drink you wanted. The syrup in my daughter’s latte was too sweet. I would def hang out in there and do work, but otherwise I wouldn’t visit again.

Came in with family for a late morning coffee. We were greeted by gnats before speaking to staff. The menu screens weren’t working so we read the very limited menu in the smallest possible font they could print. The woman at the register offered reading glasses to help review the menu, although I was wearing prescription lenses.
The “authentic” Greek drink was so incredibly bitter, unsweetened, and was impossible to finish. We returned the drink and requested a different item. The barista insinuated we didn’t have the palate for the drink and told us the replacement was significantly more in price and reluctantly made a replacement. I recently traveled to Greece and didn’t have a coffee drink remotely close to the taste of what the barista made. It was insulting to us and the drink needs to be removed from the menu. The mocha tasted like pure hot chocolate for $9. We didn’t finish our drinks and left. And we won’t be returning.
The atmosphere is cute but the gnats made it impossible to relax and enjoy the food and drinks. The baristas may benefit from additional training with making the drinks and customer service. There are several reviews speaking to the quality of the drinks specifically the bitterness of the coffee and it has not been properly addressed. Save yourself time and money and go elsewhere.

I’ve never been to a Cafe Indigo before, but I was gifted a coupon at a festival and discounted ice isn’t something you should pass on. When I arrived, I was greeted by someone with such a positively lovely spirit! She was so helpful to me deciding what I wanted and her recommendation was spot on! I’ve told everyone about this experience and how amazingly cute this cafe is. I can’t believe I’ve passed it so many times not going in. The ice cream was so fresh tasting and they have THE BEST MARASCHINO CHERRIES EVER! I can’t wait to go again and try more things on the menu. This place is the vibe all year long; it’s cozy-vintage meets art deco modern with the cool artwork, vibrant colors, vintage exterior (I love the doors!) and fireplace. 10/10

What a great find! The coffee was excellent — rich, smooth, and made just right. The pastry was fresh and delicious, the kind you actually want to slow down and savor. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for relaxing or catching up with a friend. Everything about this place just felt right — great service, great vibe, and great taste. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

My daughter-in-law and I were out and about exploring Shaker Heights and made plans to stop by Cafe Indigo. It did not disappoint! We ordered Macha, a Mocha and split a sandwich and the freshness and flavor was wonderful. We spent way more time than we originally planned, visiting and interacting with locals and staff. We learned a lot more about the area, the schools and the nearby neighborhoods as we’re considering a move to the general area. I absolutely loved it here and will definitely return soon. A big thank you to everyone we met here, the delicious food and the great conversations! Your insights were so helpful!

I come here every Saturday for karaoke. It’s decorated very nicely and I really like how ice cream is available even in the winter. You must try the vegan chocolate chunk ice cream because it is rich and delicious. Prices are about what you would expect for a cafe. Plenty of seating and an inviting atmosphere. Also, the croissant sandwiches are very good Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed doing my work at Café Indigo! I was pleasantly surprised it closed at 10pm. I could get my tasks done without feeling rushed. I loved that everyone who entered the space left smiling with ice cream. Will definitely be back!

Brown sugar apple (iced) latte was fantastic!! The cinnamon fritter/croissant was sooo good, similar to like monkey bread. Paired so well w the latte, wasn’t too sweet. My man had same latte, loved it. He also got pistachio muffin & was delicious!(Definitely have them warmed up) Very dense, you can taste the almond extract and pistachios in it. Chrissy was sweet as pie, took very good care of us, gave us some knowledge. They have free water, which timed perfectly while we waited on our drinks. The interior was very well decorated and such a cute aesthetic! 10/10 no notes. We will be returning when in the area. Is CASHLESS.

Coming into a cafe on a snowy, freezing day and hearing R&B felt like it was cleansing my soul and bringing me back to the early 2000s The owner is so kind and sweet!! I got a drip for me and my coworker + a tuna melt to go and the tuna melt was EVERYTHING Exactly what I needed today! Thank you so much!!
