I visited this café a couple of times during my stay, and it’s a great place to relax. The views are absolutely amazing—overlooking the blue water, and on a clear day you can even see the coastline of Spain.

It’s a perfect spot to chill with mint tea and enjoy the scenery. I also tried the paella, which was pretty good.

A few things to note: when you enter, you may need to find your own seat if the waiters aren’t immediately available. The café has multiple levels connected by stairs, with mostly small tables suited for couples, so you’ll want to explore a bit to find a spot. I also noticed a few people smoking marijuana, which may or may not bother some guests.

Overall, a very laid-back place with incredible views and a relaxed vibe

Was one of the highlights of our visit to tangier. The cafe has the best views of the city, the coast and the straight of Gibraltar too. The food items are very cheap and you can get a coffee for 15 DH and the cheesecake / tart shown in the photo is 15
DH too.

In general, it’s best to order desserts, coffees or snacks here as the main items may not be the best since it’s a cafe not a restaraunt.

Overall, would recommend for anyone wanting to rewind after exploring the old town at tangier or even to site down for hours and take in the amazing views whilst enjoying a coffee.

There is a heavenly atmosphere here that is truly special. However, that beauty needs to be supported by impeccable standards. With the current lack of organization and reduced service, we are unfortunately tarnishing what makes this place so wonderful

Was told by a local to try this place out. It sits along a rock wall facing the water, the levels all have tables and chairs. It seems like a great hang out for locals. We each had a coffee and the mint tea which was absolutely delicious!!

Its definitely difficult when you are visiting a foreign place you have to be open to the unknown and adapt. The views are great here its actually immaculate . The cafe is located on a hill top in the old town of tangier I say go in and have a drink like tea or coffee but thats it. When we arrived we were able to sit anywhere but it seem like the waiters wete extremely disorganized no one bought us a menu when we asked in French they verbally told us they had nothing to offer other than omlettes that day so we went with it! When it arrived it was just scrambled eggs doused in oil and some bread and spam meat? I had asked for a peach juice as thats what was offered and they bought me a mango and orange puree anyway went with it but just giving a heads up you dont get a menu so you wont know the cost of things they verbally tell you the price. This place only takes cash no interac heads up! Just go for the views

I recently visited Café Hafa in Tangier to try a local mint tea on a friend’s recommendation. The view was absolutely beautiful and the seating was very comfortable, even though the café was quite busy.

Unfortunately, I did run into a small issue: when I paid the server, he mentioned he’d go get change but never returned. Even though it was a small amount, it left a bit of a negative impression.

So my tip would be to try to pay the exact amount if you can, just to avoid any hassle.

This might just be a one-off incident and not reflective of the entire establishment, but it does affect the overall reputation of the place.

Ordered the chicken tagine with lemon and olives and was the worst I’ve had, hands down. So much oil and no flavor at all. Want that hot either… the waiter tried to charge me too much and then when I asked about it he threw a menu at us and told us to figure it out. 40 MAD difference. Beautiful views, not sure I’d go back. My fiancé and son had great plates.

I visited Café Hafa in the old city of Tangier two weeks ago. The location is excellent, with a stunning view of the sea right in front and fresh, clean air. The drinks are very good, and the café has a unique and relaxing atmosphere. However, the prices are a bit high compared to other cafés in the area. The place was very crowded, and we only managed to get seats with some effort. Most of the visitors were tourists, but there were also locals enjoying the café. One downside is that there are no nearby parking options, which makes it slightly inconvenient if you are driving. Overall, despite the high prices and crowd, I really enjoyed the view and atmosphere, and it is definitely worth visiting if you are in Tangier.

Come here for a Mojito or 2 and enjoy the beautiful view and cool vibes. You will be disappointed if you eat here. You will be disappointed if you need the bathroom here. Just drink up and chill.
