Pizza, well cooked, slice stands up with one hand hold, crust on the thin side, tasty sauce spiced right, correct amount of cheese and a crunchy crust!
That’s as far as I go on this review till we come back, eat in and try an entree!
Atmosphere looks go with a nice dining room.
The pizza takeout was busy with only one employee, taking orders, working the oven, serving, and operating the register.
AND last but not least Cafe Gio charges extra for credit cards… Why?

Cafe Gio is truly like a second home to our family. We go every single Christmas Eve, and year after year they make us feel so welcome—even with my three little babies in high chairs. That alone says everything about how accommodating and family-friendly they are.
We’ve celebrated some of our biggest life moments here: communions, christenings, and even my baby shower. Every event has been flawless, and the care they put into making each one special never goes unnoticed.
This past Christmas Eve, I ordered the stuffed Rigatoni Grimaldi and… wow. I’m not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. I literally cannot stop thinking about it. Perfection.
The food, the atmosphere, the consistency, the kindness—it’s all there. A huge thank you to Sal and the entire Cafe Gio team for always making us feel like family. We absolutely love it here and wouldn’t celebrate our special moments anywhere else.

The absolute best place for pizza on the island. Try their old fashioned slice. They make it just like you get it from Sicily. The breadcrumbs sautéed onions. The sauce and dough is delicious!!!!!

It bewilders me how they serve a chicken parm hero with no sauce. I know they didn’t run out of sauce because we also got a shrimp parm hero and it came with some sauce on it. And they have the nerve to charge for extra sauce as in a side order. This order I went and picked up knowing they only use very little sauce and when I get it delivered they never include the extra sauce I ask for in the comments. Makes the hero very dry. So this order I picked up and also ordered the “side” of extra sauce for $1.50. Lucky I did or I would’ve thrown my chicken parm in the trash. Zero sauce on it what a joke. It’s a “side” of sauce not sauce on the side lol. Better place down the road.

Wow, from food to service . The owner and chef Salvatore and his team are just so welcoming. Thank you, Jill and Lucas for being excellent and making our Luncheon perfect. You both were extremely attentive and accommodating with our special requests.
The food was delicious. I had the stuffed flounder with linguini and the stuffing was a delicious shrimp and bread stuffing so so good
Some had the Chicken Parmigiano and others the Chicken Francese and all was loved. But what stood out was the delicious addictive house dressing on the salad. Yeah, I took a garlic knot to sop it up it was.

Went on Palm Sunday….busy lil dinner crowd. Only 2 people on for wait staff but they held their own and everything was served timely. Food was fresh and delicious! Love their front-end pizza counter too, a variety to choose from. A lovely little gem right off Sunrise Highway in Babylon area.

10/10!! We ordered catering for pick up and it was a hit. We did the penne vodka, chicken parm, salad and garlic knots. It’s meant for 8-10 people and with 5 of us more than half was gone. Very fresh and great taste. Highly recommend!
