Café del Sol – Hagerstown East is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels like a blend of upscale dining and relaxed comfort. The décor is beautiful, the tables are clean, and the vibe just makes you want to sit back and enjoy your meal.
The food is exceptional. Every dish we’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and prepared with real care. You can tell the team takes pride in what they serve from presentation to taste, everything is spot on. The portions are generous without sacrificing quality, and the menu has a great variety so it’s easy to find something you’ll love.
The service deserves its own praise. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely professional. Our drinks were never empty, every request was handled with a smile, and we never felt rushed. They strike the perfect balance of being present without hovering.
Whether you’re stopping in for lunch, dinner, or just grabbing something casual, this place consistently hits the mark. Highly recommend it’s easily one of the best spots in the area.

Really awesome lunch spot! I always have enjoyed the other Café del Sol on the other end of town so I was excited to try this newer spot and was not disappointed! The building is great, with a huge wrap around bar. They have the perfect lunch options, and their salads are amazing. I was really impressed with how much steak / bacon was on the Black & Bleu Salad. Cooked to perfection, this place definitely has all the flavors! You can find just about anything on their menu, surely something for everyone here. Prices are fair

10NOV.2025 This is a true hidden gem in Hagerstown. The best customer service, delicious cocktails, superb beer and wine list, delicious food, amazing atmosphere.
There is another café del Sol on the north end of Hagerstown , it doesn’t even stand a chance to this spot.
I had an early dinner here, as I sat by the fire place; and it was magical and so zen. I ate the Cuban panini/sweet potato fries/sparkling cava/ hibiscus Aperol spritz. Absolute chef’s kiss.

Food and service were excellent. I am not familiar with any of the other locations, but this one, in particular, had a lot of bright windows and sunshine. The decor and sunshine made for a very nice atmosphere.
Our server recommended the Caesar wrap when I couldn’t decide between two entrees and she was right. It was outstanding. Hand cut fries were delicious.

We have been coming to this establishment for about 2 years. We have seen some staff members come and go, but always felt welcomed by all staff.
The food has never disappointed! Their chef knows what she is doing. I am not one to venture off on a menu, but I have at Del Sole! Everyone we bring here has enjoyed their meals and the service.
A big plus is their Rewards Program! It’s always nice to save some money.
Love the food, the staff and the service! Outside eating area is awesome when the weather suits as well.

I ordered take-out for lunch. I got the Chicken Caesar Wrap with fresh cut fries and a sweet tea. LET ME TELL YOU.. this is some of the best food I’ve ever had from a restaurant. Everything was so tasty and full of flavor and perfectly done, even the fries. You can tell it was cooked with passion. Compliments to the chef! I absolutely WILL be coming back again!
This place inside is such a vibe, I love the atmosphere. Everything is brand new, modern and sorta beachy. Employees were very nice and even checked to make sure my order had everything right before I left. I’m so happy we chose Cafe Del Sol today! Thank you guys!!

I have been a fan of Cafe del Sol for some time. This is the first time I went to this location. The outdoor seating was wonderful on a warm early fall day. Our entrees were great, we got a couple different styles of tacos and they were juicy and Delicious.
We simply did not have room for dessert! The tacos were so filling I didn’t feel the need to really eat dinner later that night.
We went slightly off lunch hours on a Saturday and there was plenty of room, and we were the only ones sitting outside. We really enjoyed it.

I decided to give them another try because I found the menu interesting. The place is neat and chic. The pizza sauce and Korean bbq was just too salty for me. The last meal I had ordered was salty as well. I feel less inclined to try them again.

I thought this restaurant was awesome. An innovative (and much-welcomed) way to order and pay, friendly and attentive staff, and delicious food! I often choose a Korean BBQ bowl at Cafe Del Sol that is one of my absolute favorites, but Coast’s Korean BBQ blew theirs out of the water! I tried the tuna and chicken tacos as well and they were both outstanding. Drinks were so good I could’ve drank ALOT of them For the reviewers complaining about the pre-added 20% gratuity: Don’t go out to eat. If you aren’t willing to show your gratitude to the wait staff properly, then you don’t deserve to eat out. I’ve been in their shoes and I know how important tips are to maintain a steady income. Coast’s wait staff are excellent and they deserve every percent!

Went on a Thursday evening. Got a booth then ordered a couple of beers. Went for a large prosciutto pizza and their short rib burger with fries. Food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The first iteration of the pizza was meatless. We asked after this and the pizza was taken away – at this time, my partner asked for a glass of water without ice (she is not an ice lover). A few minutes later our server returned with the same pizza, re (over) cooked with chunks of smoked ham on top – certainly not prosciutto. He also brought a glass of water half full of ice. During this time, I ate my burger and fries, which accounts for the stars on this review – it was decent and prepared as I had ordered. The second take on the pizza was removed after we brought the pseudo-prosciutto to the server’s attention. Again she waited until the third pizza arrived, looking much the same as the second with chunks of ham (see pictures). Not what we consider a true thinly sliced ham. She ate a couple of slices and we boxed the rest and left. Three things of note here: 1. We were told that the ‘chef’ was new on the job. 2. This review is for the Hagerstown East (new) branch of Cafe Del Sol. We have always had excellent food and service at the other location on Salem Ave. and decided to give this place a try given it was on our way home that evening. 3. We were not charged for the pizza after what we experienced. That was worth a star. We also prefer the ambiance of the place on Salem Ave. The lighting in the new place is a bit much but the fixtures and set up are fine. Time will tell if we choose to patronize this one again.
