I ordered a small dark roast house brew, while my mom ordered a decaf Americano (she ordered a second one when we were leaving because she liked it!). I didn’t find my coffee any special–I was expecting some rare coffee hints haha; hence, my 3 star rating. We did wait for awhile to receive our coffees, but it was okay…maybe not when someone is busy.
P.s. The cafe vibe is good for studying, which is a plus 🙂

Was in the area and got hungry. Came across this wonderful gem!
Upon entering the atmosphere is very comfy and cozy. I was also offered a sample of ice cream upon entering that was more than a spoonful. They have a wide selection of drinks and a smaller selection of food. The staff was so kind and warm. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and affogato. Neither disappoint. I was left full and with a new favorite café.

Love this place! After the HP Shooting, my family had no where to go and we drove until we found somewhere that was open. This was the place! The owner happened to be there and let us hide out until we had access to go back home. Beyond their care for community, I would argue that it is the best prepared coffee in Illinois – North Shore for SURE! I am from Washington state, just south of Seattle. I spent a lot of time working in coffee – Cafe De Oro is the closest thing to Seattle Coffee life that the area has to offer. Great community, great coffee and plus THEY HAVE A DRIVE THROUGH and REMEMBER! your drink. Like we stepped back in time when customer service mattered and your coffee was made correctly with care. Thank you Cafe De Oro. We love you!

The cold brew with syrup was not my favorite, but the hot coffee was very, very good. I recommend just a basic hot coffee, cream, and sugar to your liking. Would return for the hot coffee kind of a strange location around a forest preserve but close to me so not bad.

Ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches that were very yummy. Blueberry scone, butter croissant, americano and a smoothie. Appreciate that you’re able to sit down and have a conversation with the person youre with or be able to study.

Omg such an absolutely adorable coffee spot! Let’s start with the interior, warm and inviting atmosphere, couches available to lounge. They sell Jeni’s ice cream here too! We started with a:
chocolate croissant – crispy, flakey on the outside, warm, soft and gooey chocolate inside.
Orange Cranberry scone – first scone I had that was not dry in the slightest. Moist and delicious.
Banana chocolate chip bread – dense, moist and delicious
Hamd and cheese swirl – crunchy exterior, soft inside, and the salt from the cheese and ham compliment the pastry perfectly.
20 oz latte, cold, with almond milk and sugar free caramel – very very good coffee and happy to see sugar free options
20 oz mocha, cold, while milk and sugar-free hazelnut – perfection!!
Definitely give this place a try!!

Great place. Very nice atmosphere. I get kids lunches here often for my 2nd and 4th graders at Wilmot. They love ham and cheese swirls, organic yogurts with fruits and Jenni’s ice cream is the best. Very thankful to the owners for keeping this place so clean, modern furnished, food delicious and organic!

We love this place! Fantastic coffee and lots of healthy food options (as well as non healthy options ). They have a nice selection of home made pastries, Jeni’s ice cream, fresh pressed juice, teas, sandwiches, yogurts, etc. Everything is high quality and clean. I have food sensitivities and so I appreciate their organic and gluten-free options. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They have a drive through and some outdoor seating. Although I wish they’d expand the outdoor options.
