We loved this restaurant. It’s so cozy and cute. We loved sitting at the bar. The drinks were delicious and so was the food. I think the other reviews are valid that it takes a little longer for meal to arrive, but it’s worth it. The food is being prepared to order, so be patient! Enjoy the evening sipping a cocktail and enjoy. We eat out a lot, so we were pleasantly surprised that the menu prices are not as high as most other restaurants with quality food.

Ive never left a google review in my life and I would give 0 stars if I could, but we went to Cafe Calabria last night to celebrate a birthday and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We had reservations at 6:00 PM for a party of 6, ordered only one appetizer, and after receiving bread and that single appetizer, we did not receive our entrées for well over an hour. During that time, our server barely checked on us, didn’t offer refills, and when asked about our food, couldn’t give us an answer and seemed completely lost. When the food finally arrived, we did compliment the food and tried to be understanding of the server given the circumstances, but the dishes did not meet expectations and were not worth the price point. the overall experience was anything but enjoyable. One person in our party didn’t even eat their meal due to the long wait and frustration, yet management refused to remove the charge, stating that since it was placed on the table it had to be paid for. A 20% automatic gratuity was added despite the lack of service. When we asked if it could be removed given the situation, the owner continuously argued with us, became defensive, and made the situation worse instead of trying to resolve it. The final straw was being stopped while bringing out a small birthday cake and told it wasn’t allowed unless the restaurant cut it and charged $3 per person per slice. The restaurant also wasn’t overly busy, which made the poor service even more frustrating.

Overall, this was a stressful and poorly handled experience and not how you want to celebrate a birthday. We will definitely not be returning.

A great place to spend a Friday night during the holidays. A cozy Italian spot with a great ambiance and friendly staff. The service was great and everything was fresh and delicious. We tried the calamari, lobster ravioli and the special pan seared chicken over linguine. It was all cooked to perfection, good portion size and great tasting sauce with each dish. We will definitely be back to support this family run restaurant!

My husband and I have wanted to try this place for a while, and finally were able to this weekend. We rarely get out on date nights with two young kids, so we were excited to be able to get out, but unfortunately we wound up quite disappointed with our experience here. We made reservations early in the day online for 6 pm. When we arrived a few minutes before 6, the hostess took our name but could not find it on the hand written reservation sheet. She asked if it’d be under another name, I said no and pulled up my confirmation email. We had a text and email saying the reservation had been confirmed. She basically then just shrugged it off and instead of trying to figure out why our reservation wasn’t on their sheet or apologize, she told us we could have a seat at the bar until a table was ready. We waited about 25 minutes while waitresses walked by telling us they were working on clearing a table. Once we were finally seated, we were scrunched into a tiny table in a back corner next to an employee door to the back and the handicap door to outside. Being on the taller side, we were both quite uncomfortable the entire time. Our waitress was pleasant and kind. We ordered drinks that were very well made by the bartender, one of the better old fashioned drinks we’ve both had. Our entrees were ok. It took over 30 minutes to come out, so we wound up being there over 2 hours between having to wait for a seat despite a reservation and then wait on our food. Dinner was lack luster overall. I ordered chicken Marsala that was oddly brothy and watery with little taste. It really looked like soup rather than a pasta dish. My husband’s shrimp scampi was the same, overly watery (not just a thin sauce as it should be but watery) and overall bland. Not an entirely awful experience, but between the reservation not being taken down for some reason and then the lack of care shown in getting us seated in a timely manner & telling us “just wait at the bar” detracted from a nice night out. Things happen and can get overly busy on a Saturday, but we made a reservation so we could be seated and in and out relatively quickly as we had to have a sitter. The hostess not trying to be helpful in figuring out why a reservation is not there and then having people wait with indifference wasn’t a good experience.

Cafe Calabria II is our preferred destination for genuine Italian cuisine. We have sampled various dishes (including lunch today), and each offering is abundant, delectable, and truly satisfying to the taste buds. The prices are quite affordable. The staff members are professional, knowledgeable, polite, and attentive. The ambiance is inviting and enjoyable. If you seek authentic Italian food for dining-in or take out, your search ends here.

Well I just read the bad reviews and I’m sorry others had a bad experience. I’m having so health issues and have to watch what I eat. Didn’t tell our waitress what was wrong with me, but explained how my food had to be prepared! She made suggestions, asked questions and came out with a delicious meal. Can’t eat a lot right now, so I came home and heated up my leftovers. Delicious! Definitely will go again! Those who had a bad experience, please give them another go!!

Food portions are so big. 1 meal could be enough for 2 person. We couldn’t finish our Piccata and alla Panna. They are delicious indeed.

Clams Casino is a great appettizer. I tasted it the first time and love it!

Wine was okay.

Good food. Nice looking place, a little odd as it has a large deli counter in one room. Service was slow in recognizing us, the waitress walked by 6 times before acknowledging that we had sat down. Once the food was ordered, no problems at all.

I came here for the first time with a few friends. The atmosphere was somewhat cozy and the food was good but the service was not! Our waitress was slow and couldn’t be found when needed. The food was delivered by a young man and the waitress NEVER came over to check if all was okay. One person at our table had an issue with her dinner but the waitress was nowhere to be found. I had to get up and ask where she was! She did not come over until we were done and ready for the check. Honestly, I have waitressed on and off for years and have always checked in on my customers a few times. Also, I thought it was odd that an Italian restaurant does not have spaghetti or angel hair as choices? Only linguine or penne were offered.
