The vibe here is summer lovin. High tables, low seats, cement steps. Bring a book and spend some time. The menu is tight and they may run out of items but the two dishes we shared – frittata and carrot masa – were fantastic. The agua fresca was taaasty. I saw a few baked goods on site but there are also two other bakeries to hit after.

Delicious, healthy, well-made food!
I have been a huge fan of Bolita as long as they’ve been doing pop-ups and I am so excited that they are finally opening a brick-and-mortar location. Their food is consistently really interesting and unique without being fussy. Their specialty is masa that they make themselves using heirloom maiz varietals and it’s incredible how flavorful the tortillas, tamales, and other items are just from the masa itself. Great options for vegetarians and meat-eaters, and a good variety of options ranging from snacks with a coffee to full meals. They also serve coffee and pastries. So glad they took over the mantle from Standard Fare at this lovely location! They are currently in soft opening but I can’t wait until they are fully open, and then eventually expand to dinner and drinks too!
