Airy, casual cafe offering beignets & frittatas for breakfast & Cajun-inspired lunch dishes.
Café Bienville
Café Bienville is Niceville’s go-to spot for out of the ordinary breakfast, lunch, or lattes. Between our friendly staff, casual atmosphere, and delicious menu

Been seeing this place on my DoorDash but didn’t want to have it delivered from pretty far away. It’s a local creole spot that has a pretty good selection. The gumbo was good, the red beans and rice were pretty good, my eggs were okay, I’ll try something different next time, my son loved his burger though and overall pretty satisfied with my experience. It’s pretty much serve yourself, but the person behind the register had a great attitude and as you can see from the pics it is a lively little spot.

This quaint lil home town Cafe is a must stop in. The atmosphere is relaxing and the aromas are very welcoming. Greeted with a smile and quick service. I’ll think I’ve found a new favorite for breakfast and I’ll be back to explore the lunch side of the menu.

The scramble bowls were really tasty. I liked the Denver without potatoes and my wife had the same with potatoes. Both could have been a little hotter, but they were good. The beignets were delicious and steaming hot. They got a bit carried away with the powdered sugar (next time I will tell them to go a little easy on that) but I will be back for more.
Just went back and all was good. Asked for light sugar on the beignets and they were great.

This place has never disappointed. We have had their breakfast bowls, burgers, and kid’s meals and it is always good. The only negative is that the portions tend to be smaller for the cost but it is still worth it as the flavor and quality is very high.
My favorite thing here are the burgers, as they are literally the best burgers in Northwest Florida, and reminded me much of the old Tucker Duke’s back many years ago. I know when I bite into one, it is an incredible flavor experience. The ingredients are so fresh, and meat extremely high quality. It is also cooked perfectly.
I highly recommend folks give this restaurant a try, you will not be disappointed.

Find and take a seat, order and pay at the cashier desk, receive the beeper until food is ready, pick up at the front, and eat at your table, take your dirty dishes at the designated area kind of system at this restaurant. Reasonable priced, nice people with a lots of smiles and good selections of food and drink items.

I wasn’t impressed by this place. I wanted to go for a long time. They didn’t make it clear that they were a counter service and not a full service. I mistakenly left a large tip. The food was mediocre and the portion was so small. I complained and they added another scoop. I thought the food would be good but it’s really not and it’s way expensive. I’ve wanted to try Café Bienville for a long time but honestly I wasn’t impressed. The biggest issue is they don’t make it clear at all that they are counter service and not full service. I walked in expecting a sit-down experience and mistakenly ended up leaving a large tip at the register before realizing I had to do everything myself.
The food was pretty mediocre and the portions were way too small for the price. I actually had to complain about how little I got, and to their credit, they did add another scoop, but it shouldn’t have to come to that. For what they charge, I thought the food would be high quality but it just wasn’t there. It feels way too expensive for a place where u order at a counter and get basic food. Sad because I really wanted to like this place but it’s definitely not worth the hype or the price tag. Won’t be back

I really don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I felt this needed to be shared. I had read so many great reviews, so I genuinely wasn’t expecting the chaotic atmosphere or the overcooked food we experienced.
The staff seemed to be prepping catering meals and drinks right in the main customer area, which created a lot of congestion. My breakfast bowl eggs were cooked beyond recognition, the veggies were mushy, and the potatoes had so much black pepper they were barely edible. My husband ordered the large bowl with ham and cheese, but the cheese was cold and not melted at all into the eggs and ham.
Maybe we just caught them at a bad time, but we left very disappointed.

Amazing place. We came for lunch. The fusion of Cuban and Creole created some very impressive dishes. A loaded sweet potato with pulled pork and black beans. Very tasty. Many other sandwiches will be worth a try. Will need to come back.

BAM! Get your muffuletta here & nowhere else!
The house-made olive relish & super fresh ingredients added up to the best muffuletta I’ve encountered.
Cafe Bienville delivers an upscale menu in a casual setting. The New Orleans-themed foods and art everywhere will draw you back.
This cafe has its act together. As the price of dining out has increased, this is the kind of place that is worth your hard-earned dollar.

The woman taking our order was so rude. She didn’t want to answer any questions and was very impatient. Also, the print of the menus is blurry. It’s hard to decipher the menu due to a horrid print job. The food is very good.
