Such a charming and elegant spot! The atmosphere at Café Bel-Air is cozy and beautifully designed — perfect for an afternoon tea or a relaxing treat. The desserts were absolutely delicious, especially the lemon poppyseed cake and the fresh pastries. The presentation was stunning, and everything tasted as good as it looked. The staff were warm and attentive, making the whole experience feel special. A hidden gem in Edmonton that I’ll definitely be visiting again! ☕✨

After driving for almost 6hrs from Medicine Hat to Edmonton. We were treated with a wonderful tea and cakes (napolitains, puits d’amour). The amazing hospitality was same as when we visit families and friends in Mauritius. Made us feel home. To top it up, the mine bouillie agneau and oeuf mirroir made the day. With the fresh chilli paste. Simply amazing!
I am definitely making the drive again soon for some amazing dishes.

Easily one of the best places I’ve ever had dinner in Edmonton and I eat out a lot!
From the incredible food (and they’re now introducing Sunday brunch, as shown in the photo I posted yay!) to the amazing atmosphere and genuinely friendly people, everything about this place stands out. It’s a local gem that I wish every Edmontonian would support. Family owned and operated by a mother and son, and the flavors in their dishes are truly unlike anything else. Don’t take my word for it just go try it yourself!

Such a lovely place. It was great to eat somewhere with such different and yummy food. The tea and coffee menu is amazing! The family working there are so kind and the heart shaped cookie I took home was the best. Next time I will have to experience the high tea they offer.

I’ve been on the hunt for a good high tea spot for years, and after trying a few in town (a few of these have closed down now) I stumble upon this gem. I’ve been here twice, and both times were such enjoyable experiences.

The owner/manager is always so friendly and attentive, which makes the whole visit feel even more special. My absolute favorites are the potato salad in semolina ball, the heart of guava, and the fruit tart, but everything has been delicious. Although I did find the pink heart to be a little too sweet for me, the jam inside is really good. The vanilla latte tea is my go-to, and it’s easily one of the best I’ve had.

What really surprised me is the price. At just $25+, you’d almost expect there to be a catch with either the food quality or the experience, but it’s the complete opposite, it’s fantastic value for what you get.

This place has definitely become my new go-to for high tea.

Fantastic spot for food, tea, and desserts with friends. The owner is super friendly and very helpful with recommendations and information about Mauritian cuisine. The food was all excellent. I ordered the special Mauritian fried noodles, which were served with garlic water and hot sauce (very spicy and soooo good) on the side, as well as a raspberry rose frangipane tart. Both dishes were delicious and really hit the spot. The service was also perfect, and the atmosphere was very “instagrammable”.
I’ve been before and will definitely be back again. Next time I’d like to try the very affordable and cute looking high-tea which I saw so many other customers ordering.

Bel-Air cafe is hands down the best cafe I’ve been to in a long time! They pride themselves on their Mauritius background and use the flavours from their country in the most beautiful way. I’ve been back the last two weeks in a row and I can confirm the customer service is excellent. The owner (or main guy) is truly passionate about his cafe. the first time I went I got a vanilla latte and some pastries. Not to sound dramatic, but It was one of the best vanilla lattes I’ve ever had. He told us that they are known for teas and not coffees, so I found that interesting. The next week I took my friend for high tea. I am a picky eater, but I would say every single thing we had was amazing. The flavours, the presentation , the teas the price, everything was 10/10. And the best part of all this is it’s all Halal!! I haven’t tried the food yet, but that’ll be my next visit.
I can go on and on about this cafe, but you should go try it out for yourself!

We were at home and my son gave me a suggestion to go to this cafe. We tried the food it was a 10/10 experience. They were super nice. Suddenly my son got sad that there was nothing for him to eat there. Then they made my son hot chocolate and a cheese sandwich. Avinash the owner and his mother are wonderful people. I definitely recommend you come here. It was the best cafe we had gone too!!! Written by Son

The owner Mary and her son Avi were very nice, and welcoming. They enjoyed interacting with us
