From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the tone for what turned out to be a truly exceptional evening. The service was top-tier, and I firmly believe that no customer is entitled to a certain level of experience simply based on the elegance of a restaurant—but this team exceeded all expectations regardless.
Our waitress went above and beyond on a quiet Tuesday evening. She was incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely caring, and made sure we felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout the night. It’s rare to encounter that level of attentiveness and warmth.
The food, crafted by the chef and their talented team, was nothing short of outstanding. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully prepared. You could tell there was passion behind each plate.
All in all, it was a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be back!

attended for a friend’s 40th birthday brunch we had the front room to ourselves, the wait staff was very courteous and attentive, the food was beautifully presented and tasted great! I would definitely consider them for future functions or just for brunch any Sunday.

Oh YOU MUST stop in! This is an amazing restaurant! There are great restaurants scattered around Connecticut and this ranks up there as the best. A unique bar and restaurant that is upscale but not pretentious. Food is outstanding, service is stellar and the atmosphere is top notch. We often drive to West Hartford or Avon to find a great date night! No longer required! We stumbled upon this gem and will be back, time and time again! Do yourself a favor, step in, relax and enjoy!

Had dinner with a reservation on a Friday evening. The pescatora was one of the best Italian seafood dishes I have ever eaten. The server was attentive and kind. The old fashioned was well made and a nice portion. Ambience at Cafe Aura is top notch. We look forward to enjoying a meal there again.

Brought my girlfriend’s mother here for Mother’s Day, and could not have had a better experience! The atmosphere is cozy, yet classy…the tables are organized to give your party privacy and enjoy a personalized experience…the wait staff was extremely personable and made it more relaxing and fun!
The food was simply amazing! Worthy of the Championship coach / owner, everything came out perfectly cooked, well presented and right the first time! The stuffed swordfish special was very unique and one of the best seafood dishes I’ve ever had! The lasagna, shrimp risotto and seared salmon were all enjoyable, and the desserts were fantastic! Recommended the mousse bomb; not too sweet, and a great mix of flavors…try the key lime pie too! Apps, main course and desserts, everything was completely perfect! Price is well worth the food and great experience!

Cafe Aura restaurant is a great spot with nice service, and the food is great a well. At our most recent visit, our server, Abby, was just wonderful. She recommended the chef’s special for the evening, and it was certainly a winner. I had the branzino with spinach and fingerling potatoes !

We had dinner here. The atmosphere was very nice. Service was good. I had the braised short rib, and my wife had the NY strip. I think the food was good. I wouldn’t say it was fantastic, but it certainly wasn’t bad at all. The short ribs lacked a bit a flavor, so a sprinkle or two of salt & pepper and that did the trick. The steak was cooked properly. It arrives covered in butter. I’m not a fan of that, but my wife thought it was decent. The Au-grautin potatoes reminded me more of scalloped potatoes. It was thin layers of potatoes with plenty of cheese on top, but lacked that gooey consistency. I think overall we weren’t disappointed and I’m sure we will be back to try more of the menu.

I have always enjoyed Sunday brunch and have ordered the Challah French Toast since my first visit. It was different this time with a different topping, far less fruit and it was very dry. I ended up asking for some maple syrup which I shared with my friend who had ordered the World’s Best Pancakes which he joked saying that they would not win any award. He thought there were few berries and he was never served any syrup. His coffee was served in a cup with no saucer. I also missed the breakfast potatoes that always came with the Challah Bread. I was told they no longer come with it and they couldn’t be ordered as a side. Also, my water glass sat empty and I was never able to ask for more. Restaurant was not crowded but waitress never gave us much attention. Very disappointed .

Listen the first time I came here almost 2 years ago the food was exquisite . The service was so on point. Even met geno him self. Now update 08/13/2025 Service was so slow on a Wednesday. Drinks and food were not the same. Tried 3 different meals and none hit. Im so disappointed cafe aura get it together‼️ please you gonna loose a regular . ‼️
