We had a beautiful meal with excellent service. This is fine dining with European service in Taneytown. Reservations are needed fur dinner. The butter service was fantastic, and the menu is fixed pricing fir 3 courses with many options. Be prepared to linger and be wowed!

Beautiful and quite large sandwiches for lunch. Pictured are the muffaletta, Tartain Bruxelloise and Paris Club. All served with chips, fries are additional if requested. Great, friendly service. Can’t wait to try the dinner menu. The only negative thing is a 4% service charge for credit card use, take cash if you don’t want to pay it.

We had a wonderful experience at Café Au Buchon last night. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive without being rushed. It has been decades since you could find European cuisine of exceptional quality in the Carroll and Frederick counties areas. Cafe Au Bouchon just west of Taneytown now fills that deep void. From the moment you enter the door you are treated as very special guests. From hostess to waitstaff to owners, all are at your service for a memorable evening of food in a truly romantic yet comfortably rustic atmosphere. The evening fixed price menu offered a wide variety of choices and everything we tried was perfectly prepared and presented. To say Cafe Au Bouchon exceeded expectations is a great understatement. If you want a wonderful dining experience that you cannot duplicate for many miles around, this is the place. This is a fine meal that wants you to linger so don’t be in a hurry. We drove almost an hour to get there and we’d double that if we had to. A real find. Thank you Dominic and staff for adding a great restaurant to Taneytown and Carroll County.

After two really exquisite dining experiences at Cafe Au Bouchon, when we heard about their special plans to celebrate Valentine’s Day, we made a reservation immediately. I am so glad we did. Friday night was easily the most romantic Valentine’s Day dinner we have spent in years…and by far the most personal holiday dining we’ve ever experienced. Even moving to their larger dining area, the mood was warm and welcoming and very intimate. Dominic and Jessica are so imaginative in their presentations, including a sealed welcoming note on each table letting you know the upcoming meal would be one to linger and enjoy. The four course meal was as expected excellent, and the filet on par with any premium steak house you can think of. All the courses were elegantly presented and simply delicious. The lady who keeps this ballet organized is their head server Page. A true professional in the restaurant business. Charming to a fault but with an eye on every detail. I know I sound like a fan boy, but Cafe Au Bouchon is more than a new stop on our local dining landscape, it is a gem from first taste to last. On that, the closing toast we made with the complimentary glass of champagne put a cork in a perfect way to remember the person I love. My wife Cheryl. All my best to you and your staff Dominic and Jessica. Thank you for settling in Carroll County and bringing your vision to our palates.

We were honestly shocked when we saw a post about an actual French inspired restaurant in Carroll county! We were absolutely thrilled with the quality of food, service and atmosphere when we arrived. Many of our group have traveled in Europe so we knew it would be difficult to give us a first class experience but Au Buchon did just that! Everyone’s food and drink pairing was exemplary! From predinner to post dinner drinks, everything was fabulous.
We realized 24 hours prior that one member of our group has a dairy allergy so French food seemed like a real bust without butter. We called and were assured that they could accommodate and they did! From the moment we entered, the wait staff took our allergy member aside and showed them on each menu which items could be altered and still be fabulous. They were on point!
We can not say enough about our experience from beginning to end and will be returning with guests!

We went for the prix fix dinner and this was the best meal and environment experience that I have had in a long time. So pleased this cafe opened in our area and I look forward to returning.
