I’ve been eating at Cafe Akroteri my entire life, and the food has always delivered. I even lived in Greece during college, and when I came home, I was amazed that the flavors here still held up. It’s one of the few places where the Greek food genuinely reminds me of being back in Athens. From the gyros to the spanakopita, it’s all spot-on. If you’re craving authentic Greek food, this is the place.
The service is consistently friendly—no complaints there. The staff is kind, attentive, and makes the experience enjoyable.
That said, the downside seems to fall on management. The restaurant is often not clean. Every time I visit, there are flies buzzing around and tables that feel like they’ve been wiped down in a hurry, if at all. It makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like behind the scenes, and that’s not something you want to be thinking about while eating.
Also, don’t trust the posted hours. Their website and Google listing will say they’re open—but it’s a gamble. They close randomly without warning, and more than once I’ve driven over only to find the doors locked.

We stopped for lunch on a weekend day. Nice food and great service, it wasn’t busy at all. The gyros, pork and falafel gyros were especially good. Nice place for lunch or dinner!

The chicken kebabs are large and not tough our dried out but juicy and flavorful.

I grew up in Bellingham, and when I tell you, I’ve never had food that spoke to my soul as much as literally everything on the menu here! The waitress, Demi, was incredibly sweet and I found out that it’s a local from-Greece family-owned business! I can’t believe this weekend was the first time I’ve ever been there!! Lemme tell you, it won’t be my last! I highly recommend!!!

The salad was beyond wonderful!!! I’m not sure what seasoning they used, but it was spectacular. The mix between the cheese and veggies worked wonderfully. I don’t even like tomatoes and yet I was scarfing it down. The rice definitely was cooked in chicken stock from what I can taste and wasn’t too shabby actually. The gyro was nicely lathered in their sour cream and the lamb was nice and tender. Just wish they had more seasoning in it though! Still, this is a very filling meal and an experience to remember.
