Great place to eat Vietnamese food. The special pho was very aromatic, fresh and there were sides of Jalapenos, basil and bean sprouts. The meat was tender and flavorful.
The beef noodle soup was also good but I preferred the pho. The egg rolls with pork were freshly made and one of the best I have had.
The price is $20 for the pho and $18 for the soup, $8 for the rolls. Decent portions for the size.
Recommended.

I always come here when I need something warm, grounding, and real. There’s something deeply comforting about sitting down with a bowl of Vietnamese soup at Cafe 79 — the steam, the herbs, the quiet richness of the broth. It feels like care, not just food.
Every time I have the chance to go out for a meal with family or friends, Cafe 79 is always the ideal choice. It’s a place where everyone feels welcome, conversations flow easily, and the food brings people together without trying too hard.
This is a place that simply does things well. Each visit leaves my body feeling calmer and my day feeling softer.
If you love Vietnamese soups made with patience and heart, Cafe 79 is a place worth returning to, again and again. ✨

I ordered the beef pho and their broth is so flavorful and aromatic. The ingredients are fresh and clean, and one of the best phos I have had on the Eastside. Parking is limited and challenging, but if you miss rush hour you can most likely find a spot. Highly recommend checking out Cafe 79.

The pho was good but just ordinary, nothing stands out. The grilled pork bowl was the best dish. Perfectly cooked and flavored.
It is a little more pricey than expected.

This is the best tasting pho I’ve had in the area! Other menu items looked really good also but it was a cold day so pho was perfect. Brisket was tasty and thick pieces unlike other places.
The chili sauce they provide in a little dish is also so tasty! Will definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

Food was good. Cooked perfectly, very flavorful and all the veggies were fresh. Only negative is the restaurant was getting ready to shutdown for two weeks and they were out of certain ingredients and menu items. Service was fast and friendly. It’s a little small so not great for big groups. Prices are reasonable and portions good. I’d say it slightly cheaper than other options in Redmond.

One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Bellevue. The dishes taste good and is worth recommending. Very friendly staff!

The food was flavorful, but the shrimp dumplings were too squishy and bland for my taste and my daughter (7yo) disliked them too. The spring rolls were delicate, but at the same time crispy inside and with a bit of lime (?) zing, which was a nice surprise… 🙂 The chilly would was THE BEST I HAVE EVER TASTED. I would like to know the brand so I could buy it for my home use. The only thing I disliked was a tiny black stone that I bit on. No hard feelings 😉 I don’t know how it got here, but it was in my food.
The staff were friendly and accommodating to our allergies. They made sure to pack the sauces and peanuts separately.
Will come back. 🙂

I have been going here specifically for banh mi Nha Trang as it is a very unique offering compared to other Viet restaurants and it is so delicious. I love how tender the meat is, the bun itself is very authentic well and doesn’t hurt the roof of mouth
Today my partner and I ordered more food to try out. The vermicelli noodle was okay, the pork was too sweet for our taste sadly. The coffee was great, very strong Viet coffee taste The Thai milk tea was good too, like other Thai milk tea
Service was quick and friendly. Hope they will have more seatings though taken how popular they are!

Nothing crazy to write about. The carrots could be more pickled, and the there could be more chicken as the portion is smaller compared to other places – around $11 for this.
