Cafe 44 in Morton Grove is one of those places that feels effortless and calm.
The space is open with high wooden ceilings and warm lighting. Clean, simple design with a peaceful atmosphere. It’s the kind of café where you can truly slow down.
I ordered a Cappuccino and a Pistachio Latte. Both were smooth and well balanced. The pistachio latte stood out lightly sweet, refined, and beautifully finished. You can taste the care in each cup.
They also offer a nice selection of pastries and desserts at the counter.
A quiet, comfortable spot with quality coffee and good energy.
I’ll definitely be back.

Amazing New bakery and cafe spot in Morton Grove. We walked in early Saturday morning and it was popping. I got a Dubai filled croissant, which was amazing very generous on the filling and the croissant had phenomenal texture! I don’t drink coffee so I’m not sure what the coffee taste like. The service was great counter service. I would Definitely go back and try some other pastries. 100% Recommend!

Came here after work to finish up some task. Coffee is pretty good.
I see some complaints about price, yes they are same price as Starbucks, at least from what I ordered. Also they have a 3% credit card fee. Nice. I don’t remember they warned me about that.
Service is odd. No one greet you or say anything. I was just standing there and they were working until I speak up. All the customers already sat down and have their drinks so I don’t understand why I wasn’t greeted.
Bake goods are dry. Taste like 5 days old

This place is so cute! And so tasty! I got a Pumpkin Spiced Latte that tasted like actual pumpkin served in a cute glass, and a “Fruit Dessert”, a dark chocolate shell with coconut cream and a mango purée in the shape of a half coconut. The girl at the register was friendly and helpful and I really liked the ambiance- it was minimal with pretty fixtures and plenty of seating. I will definitely come back when I’m in the area!

Decided to try a new place this cafe is simple and cute only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is due to their bakery items being super dry not really worth the price. I ordered a vanilla chai that was made well, I did enjoy that. Overall okay probably would skip the pastries.

What an incredibly beautiful place to be. Not only their pistachio lattes (iced and hot) are aesthetically beautiful, their staff is hospitable and nice. Matcha lavender latte was aromatic and delicious. We got to try a good share of baked goods including their croissant and chocolate baklava. Their vegan chocolate gelato is sweet and rich (could feel heavy for some people but so satisfying to my personal taste) and smooth vanilla gelato felt healthy comparatively to the other places I’ve been to. Overall a pleasant experience.

It’s a hidden gem! The service was great, but pretty expensive for two Americanos…. the cafe has an open floor plan and plenty of seating for different types of groups, which is nice. The coffees were great, but were missing something–would’ve liked it to be more stronger 🙂

Its 3-22-25 and they have been open 2 months since January 2025 and its buzzing in here with people and they open til 12am. It’s very aesthetically pleasing here! The drinks, ambience, desserts. The staff Denise and Aziz are wonderful and unique. Denise and Aziz are very sweet staff. Aziz also makes the artistic designs in the lattes. See his work in my pics! The lattes are so good! Pistachio flavors too! Free and plenty parking, lots of space, very bright lighting and beautiful light hanging from the ceiling, high ceiling cabin feel top, sockets for charging devices, comfortable and modern seating… beautiful trays the food comes in! And I love the firehouse looking glass door where it will be open in spring and summer for outdoor seating. Love it here and must return.

Ordered a Spanish latte with almond croissant on side . Look at the beautiful leaf pattern still stayed on the bottom of this delicious coffee… love the place and customer service is above and beyond

Cafe 44 serves fantastic coffee and delicious food, with the baklava cheesecake being a standout—absolutely divine! Service was a bit slow, and I wish they’d mentioned the 3% credit card fee upfront, as I’d have paid cash. Still, a great spot worth revisiting for that cheesecake!
