We were not expecting the level of delicious food that was brought to the table. Vanessa was our waitress and she was amazing. The staff was very attentive to our needs, refills and empty plates were constantly being monitored. What a gem in the heart of SMU.

Great vibe, the servants are very nice and food is good! For visitors who come for the presidential center, this is a good place to eat a brunch before the visit.

The seasonal menu offered at the President George W. Bush library is wonderful! My friend ordered the Butternut squash soup as a starter, and the Avocado toast with eggs and greens with fresh fruit. Both dishes were visually appealing and flavorful. I preferred the corn soup which was spicy and delicious and the corned beef sandwich, which was very similar to a Reuben. The only difference is that it is served with Russian dressing vs. Thousand Island dressing. ( I prefer Thousand Island as Russian gives the Sandwich an extra level of sweetness.) The sandwich is served with marbled rye which again makes it special. The accompanying French fries were fresh and hot. I do wish that the cheese had been melted to better integrate the sandwich’s flavor. Manny, our server, offer quick, attentive service. I plan to visit again in Spring to see what new offerings they have!

The food was excellent as well as the service (thanks Raphael!). Lunch in a relaxed, bright restaurant adjoining the Bush Presidential Center. Everything served seemed to be excellent – and save room for the desserts!

It’s like a Cafe opened up a Presidential Center!! For any Seinfeld fans out there, borrowing that from s2 e8 “The Heart Attack” cf “It’s like Sizzler opened up a hospital!!”
Probably not a bad thing on this menu, I would eat here regularly if I lived local.

Came back to try something else and DAMN! This place is great! The host is so nice and welcoming! But why did this sandwich taste so good?! I’ve never had soft ciabatta bread before and this bread was so soft and was so good with the avocado inside. The grilled chicken was like a herb chicken and was cooked to perfection. The sweet potato fries were so crisp and delicious with the aioli sauce it came with. It was such a great experience. Everyone was so nice and attentive that waited on us. Even the manager kept walking around, checking on all the tables making sure everyone was okay. Everyone seemed so happy to be there. Love it!

if it is a nice day, try to sit on the patio. good service, server was nice, but not interactive. corn chowder a,little spicy but good. whipped feta was great. Huevo ranchero was ok. two eggs on top of soupy blackbeans and two fried white corn tortillas. It’s a different take but not a good one. Parking is $10, as most people go to George W. Bush museum
