Came here for the first time, was amazed at the portions and quality of Service. Food was great!Definitely will.be back even if need to drive out of the way for it.
I had the cowboy Benny, and had them put potatoes over the biscuits then sausage eggs and gravy. They did it correctly. Was so good. We also had bacon chocolate waffle. Delicious!

We visited Cafe 393 based solely upon its reputation. Friends and acquaintances kept saying, “They’re awesome! You’ve got to go!” So, today we did. And, we totally agree! The entrance teases you, giving a sense of what is come. The dining room is unassuming, but don’t let that disappoint you. You come for the food, not the decor. I ordered from the breakfast menu, selecting the breakfast Casserole. My wife ordered the Patty Melt. We both had coffee to drink. 393 buys only the expensive coffee grounds and the best bacon, refusing to buy anything less, and it shows in the flavor. The coffee is a full-bodied roast. The Casserole is different daily. Today it had thin sliced potatoes, ham and eggs. One serving is more than most people will eat in one sitting. The Patty Melt is on grilled marble rye bread with American cheese. To top it off, our server, Phoebe, was awesome! We agree with our friends and highly recommend Cafe 393!

We stopped here for brunch on a Saturday around 11. I love the way they had pastries and slices of pie in a refrigerated display like an old fashioned diner. The service was fast and friendly. Our server, Samantha, was knowledgeable and helpful. She seemed a little frazzled, but that’s understandable considering how new the restaurant was.
I ordered the Monte Cristo. It was incredible! The sweet chili dipping sauce was perfect and added a little kick. The fries were perfectly crispy! My husband got a Build Your Own Omelette and the fillings were generous. It could have benefited from greens on the side. The drink menu is extensive and affordable! We both got lattes.
Our biggest complaint was that the restaurant was LOUD. There is basically nothing to absorb sound and the tables are fairly small and close together so all the conversations filled up the space. There was music playing, but I couldn’t identify a song the entire time I was there because the other sounds drowned it out. Ceiling panels or some similar method of sound dampening would work wonders for their environment.
Additionally, some artwork on the walls would be a great addition. There were only a few coffee-themed pieces on the wall near the kitchen and they looked generic: like something from Home Goods or Hobby Lobby. Connecting with a local artist for unique pieces would go a long way in adding character, since most of the restaurant was black and white.
All in all, I highly recommend giving them a try! It’s worth it for the Monte Cristo!

Food & service here are both wonderful. Great people. 5 stars all the way around.
We had already started eating when I thought to grab some photos. My wife got the eggs Benedict with hashbrowns and I got the Happy Jack sandwich with potatoes.
Their boozy breakfast drinks are also yummy.

I enjoy meeting here, at either Hendersonville or Gallatin locations, for a quiet breakfast and conversation with friends. The flatbread and scrambled eggs entree I ordered on my most recent visit, the name of which eludes me now, was excellent. Bagel and lox, eggs Benedict…I don’t think one can go wrong with anything on the menu. Staff is friendly, personable, attentive, and available without hovering.

To be a new place it was dirty looking inside. Walls had black marks and food splatter when you are standing at the hostess stand. We waited over 45 mins for our food while others who came in later got theirs and done before we got ours. Waitress noticed and asked if we had food yet. Then later when we received our food the meat in the omelette was black and crispy where they rushed it. The waffle was cold. When the presumed to be manager came to the table made it worse. She has attitude from the beginning and offered to send a cinnamon roll to table. We turned down the offer. Her attitude got worse and she would only reply “sweet” to everything we tried to say. We said we were only wanting to make her aware of the situation and did not want a discount or more food. She interrupted and said “sweet” for about the 6th time and walked off with us still talking. We can on assume it was a manager. Everyone else had on black cafe shirts but she had on pink sweat shirt and leggings like someone would wear to lounge around the house. I noticed that they did discount food even though we didn’t ask. But attitude was terrible. Very poor customer service from “manager”

We just had the best breakfast we have had since moving here last year. It was our 1st time in and had a great experience. Me and my husband ate at the bar. We were treated so well by the sweet girl behind the counter. She talked with us and treated us like she know us for ever. What a amazing young lady. I wish we would of gotten her name, she had long blonde braids, darker skin and just absolutely lit up the room. We cant wait to come back and see her next weekend. Great job cafe 393.

I am not one to leave a review typically but the only good thing I have to say is the staff was friendly and prompt when I picked up my to-go order. The food was lacking at best though. I had the corned beef hash and quite frankly, it reminded me of wet dog food. The most enjoyable part of that breakfast was the toast. I had higher hopes but sadly this fell short and left me wishing I had read the reviews better before ordering.

First time here and will definitely be back! I had the meat lover’s omelet with potatoes and toast, and it was great! Portion sizes were large-I couldn’t even finish it all. The restaurant was packed but it was humming with an incredible positive energy. Service was awesome too as the staff was very attentive and super nice. If you want a great breakfast from a family-owned restaurant, this is definitely the place to come.
