Big menu, solid breakfast. Can’t go wrong but the skillet took the cake here I think. Staff was very friendly and it’s a cute little spot. Great for some brunch …

We loved Cadillac Cafe and will definitely be back! They have Mexican breakfast items, mimosas and HUGE micheladas, a solid tuna melt and clam chowder, onion rings, great service, and are open until 3 pm! All that equals IDEAL BRUNCH PLACE!!!

I have a rule when I’m on the coast: If there’s clam chowder on the menu, we order a cup. This one was very good. Everything–the clams, potatoes–was diced very finely, which was different, but not in a bad way. I think it made everything more evenly distributed. I don’t miss the huge chunks of potatoes you find in some clam chowders, but I do miss the whole clams. Not sure what that red spice is (paprika, tajin)? It was seasoned well and not salty. Best part: Only $3.50 a cup! Phil’s in Castroville still has the best clam chowder IMO, but this one made it high on the list!

Road trip. Early morning cravings for home style comfort foods. And Cadillac Cafe delivered. Has whistle stop cafe vibe and menu. I woke up a big foggy so needed to start out with a coffee and their coffee was superb.
Ordered the corned beef hash part because It sounded good but also because I believe that this dish is a good indicator or the authenticity and quality of the kitchen. It was delicious and immense portions so much that I was able to share. Also came with. Pancake which I was craving so an added bonus.
I do plan to return to the area and look forward to trying other menu items.
Highly recommend.
And start with coffee.

This place is a cultural as well as a culinary experience. Everything from the food to the service had a strong 1950’s diner feel / spin to it. Felt like I was family, at my aunt and uncles house. They actually enjoyed having my relatively quiet, well behaved children there. (We opted to sit on the patio to avoid possibly irritating the customers inside) The first time I ate here by myself, was no different.

The food is EXCELLENT. The Ruben is better than most. The chilequile’s were surprisingly delicious (had a 50’s style spin to it that was actually pleasant)

Very clean and tidy. Also was occupied by the California map.

Customer Service: 5/5
Super friendly and had friendly conversations. Also even gave me a free sample of the hollandaise sauce. Refilled waters without asking too.

Ambiance: 4/5
Cadillacs and baby photos. Lots to look at and gives Route 66 vibes

Food: 4.5/5
Food was awesome! Hash browns was of perfect crispness. Furthermore, the eggs Benedict’s was delicious. One complaint was ham was a bit out of texture and the eggs were not as runny.

Wow: 0.5/1
Very friendly service and awesome food.

The red sauce chilaquiles with mixed scrambled eggs were delicious. Best chilaquiles I have tasted along with their house potatoes. The black coffee was good too. Place was busy and it’s a little small for seating but they make it work. Waiters were very friendly. I would be back for sure.

Stop by on a Saturday morning. This spot is legit as can be. From the ambiance to the customer service and greetings when you walk in or walk up to the spot it is top notch all the way 100 out of 10. I am from Salinas and I would drive out all the way over here just to have breakfast because I can legit say it is one of the better breakfast spots in the entire county of Monterey and Santa Cruz included. Everything here is good from some American Staples and dishes to Mexican, food all of it.
