We went to Cactus Rose for the first time this evening and were completely blown away from beginning to end. The friendly staff met us and got us a great table out on the patio. The maître d’ explained the menu and their specials. The wait staff was prompt and professional.

The food, when it finally arrived, was outstanding. When my wife needed a refill on her soda, multiple staff seemed to ignore my raised hand. When one waiter finally recognized me, he said that he would let our waitress know, but it still seemed like an awfully long time before the replacement soda arrived. It seemed like we were charged twice for the tortilla chips that came with the excellent guacamole, but the chips also came with the routine salsa. This was our first visit to Cactus Rose.

Over the summer this restaurant is always packed so naturally we had tried many times to come but were not able to due to the amount of restrictions in place due to the pandemic. We finally were able to make our way over just a couple of weeks ago and while the service was great the food was not what we were expecting. The appetizers were great, we honestly feel as though we could have just had that and been satisfied. But the main entrees were not very authentic nor were they very…tasty. Were they bad? No not at all. But in comparison to the appetizers, they fell short. The drinks were good and the complementary cotton candy is always a nice way to end the night. The prices are very high.

Waited 10+ minutes to place a drink order while servers stood around talking. Received our apps before our drinks arrived, and had to ask to place our dinner order after our server downed a beer. Burger bun soaked through, cheap quality bun for the price. Lobster Mac and shrimp tacos OK but not worth going back for. Overall a sad service experience on a slow Thursday hoping a one off

Except for the guacamole, I was so disappointed because this was a restaurant that I used to eat at frequently and loved. The food was so heavily salted that I couldn’t enjoy the actual flavor of the food itself. Also the staff was not very accommodating in terms of gluten free options or changes in any way. I have to take this one off my list of favorites sadly.

Only went for lunch, but pretty fast and nice service. The salmon on the salad was really great, I enjoyed the crispy skin especially, but it was a bit hard to cut with just my butter knife. The southwest salad was well chopped, and had great flavor but I had a hard time getting the beans and etc with each bite.

Wow. Such a great experience. The atmosphere is trendy & fun. We were greeted immediately at the door by several friendly staff. Came here last minute to celebrate my birthday & it was fantastic! Food was delicious & there’s a large variety of plates. Drinks were delicious. They all sang me happy birthday & the bartender came over to give us free shots. Definitely coming back & highly recommend to all! Thank you for the lovely experience.

Great place to celebrate our anniversary as we come year after year. Nice to see familiar faces as we enter…and to be remembered where we usually sit. We plan to stay awhile enjoying our caipirinhas and appetizers. There are a variety of eats to choose from. Their photos on the menu really help you make the choice of what you see. Chorizo flatbread, blistered peppers, and guacamole with corn and bacon is a good warmup. We love their steamed mussels with their cream sauce and the sangrita seafood cocktail, but we come for their seared wild Portuguese octopus. Yummy and tender. Tenderloin tacos are a good one to share for three. Keep it spicy with a Thorny Rose or Spicy Pepino cocktail. A shot of tequila is a must at this tequila bar. Then have a dessert with some coffee. Then the night is complete with some cotton candy.
