Cactus Mexican Buffet is a gem for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine. They offer an all-you-can-eat breakfast and lunch buffet, and every dish I tried was flavorful and fresh. The food tastes genuinely homemade — they even have authentic churros and pan dulce, which was a great surprise.
The service is outstanding. The servers are extremely attentive and quick with refills without you even having to ask. The restaurant isn’t very large, but it’s very clean and has a warm, homey, and cozy ambiance that makes you feel comfortable right away.
Overall, I highly recommend this place. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is inviting, and the service is top-notch. A great spot for anyone who loves real Mexican cooking.

Came to try the buffet. Service was great from start to finish. The place is clean, and the food was really good. Tastes like home made, and is served in a cafeteria style line. (Lots of people were in line but the line moves super fast). They have a chilaquiles station and egg station, both amazing. Cost is 30, a bit on the higher side for a casual any day meal but it was all you can eat so come hungry and it will be worth it for sure!
Highly recommended.

Chilaquiles verdes, chicharrones verdes, platanos, elote (not pictured, but delicious), rice & beans, and churros. I particularly loved the chicharrones verdes! Great atmosphere, service was quick and very friendly. We will return!

This was hands down the best food that has ever touched my tongue. I flew all the way Alabama to eat here (jk I’m here for work but found this place while here). Absolute heaven. The people are so nice and my friend wanted to marry into their family because of how good the food was.
If you go here and dislike the food, you need to reassess your life. Because you may be the problem. I will be coming here every time I’m in Vegas now. The only buffet worth eating in Vegas.
Pro tip: close your eyes on that first bite.

Was initially going to another of my old spots to get a bite to eat, but decided to try this place out based on the recent reviews and I am sure glad I did. Upon entering, I was greeted by the owner and she asked me if I had been there before to which I replied no so she took the time to explain the pricing and how the operation works. It’s a buffet, but the employees serve you so you don’t have to touch any utensils… Except for the salsa bar and the cold dessert bar at the end. The selection is awesome… I end up getting a serving of the Chilaquiles with the green sauce with two eggs over medium… My other plates were a gordita and rice and beans and a Chile Riano… I had some of the elbow macaroni salad, which was very homemade and very good. I also had the red bowl and one red enchilada and one taquito.. everything tasted homemade just like my mom used to make it… I would suggest you get a little servings of each so you’re able to sample more variety… All in all five stars easily, you won’t be disappointed… I got here after 1:30 so there was a lot of empty tables… Some reviewers had mentioned that it gets busier during the traditional lunch hours.

Ok, I gave the food rating a 4 because my Mama couldn’t eat very much since most food items are too spicy. Everyone else in our party enjoyed the food items. I enjoyed the chili rellenos and the red tamales. Now, Here are all reasons Cactus Mexican Buffet rates all 5’s in my book. Jose and Griselle (owners) reserved a section of their restaurant for a party of 23 for my Mama’s 80th Birthday!! We celebrated on Saturday, October 18, 2025!! Griselle was our personal assistant and she was so very gracious. We were allowed to bring in a special cake and our own ice cream, as well as, apple cider juice (bubbles) to make special toasts to my Mama. Griselle played song requests for us and helped us take photos. My Mama requested to have a small bowl of arrow con dulce to take home and Griselle blessed my Mama. Believe me, I reached out to several different restaurants throughout Henderson and not one could or would accommodate our party the way Cactus Mecican Buffet did for us!! I appreciate ALL that they did to accommodate the 27 of us!! We will return. Another comment is this: I handled this business by phone with Jose. I’m from Colorado and 25 others flew or drove in from California or Arizona. My Mama is the only person living in Henderson. Jose is the BEST!! Thank you so very much Jose and Griselle. ♥️

Awesome place with authentic Mexican food. Came from CA and really enjoyed it. Service was outstanding too.
Pineapple tamales and fresh churritos with nutela were my favorites for dessert.
Menudo, chiles rellenos plus tacos. Just awesome
We’ll definitely come back

We arrived in Las Vegas yesterday driving from LA. One of the places on the list was to try Cactus Mexican Buffet. Obviously quite foreign from Melbourne, Australia. We were greeted by the lovely staff as soon as we entered. We were taken through the process of how to get food and order drinks. The Mexican Champurrado (hot chocolate) was fantastic! We’ve got a week here, and we’ll be heading back, the food was to die for. All the staff were very attentive and polite. The place is very clean.

It was the first time for both my mother and myself to go to Cactus Mexican Buffet. The food was good, but the service was all over the place. The price was reasonable for the variety that they offer. It just seemed liked they need at least one more person helping with the tables so the guy at the front could take care of customers that were arriving instead of cleaning the tables. All and all it was good but definitely do not go there until just after one. It was hectic from 12:30-1pm then it died down.

Came by looking for something different for breakfast and this popped up. Location was great. We watched it get busy and the line moved very smoothly. Food was good the price was reasonable. The specialty drinks looked amazing but overwhelming so we did not order any.
All the food was good, tamales, gorditas the eggs and papas yum.
If anything the chilaquiles could use some help. Had an order and expected the fried egg and it was just chips and the sauce on top with cheese.
They had churros and pan dulce too!
