Went to Cactus Grill for brunch and was seated right away with no wait. We were welcomed with salsa and chips, which was a nice touch. The vegetarian options like quesadillas and burritos were tasty. It can get a little noisy during peak hours, but they also offer outdoor seating if you prefer.
Overall, a pleasant Tex-Mex dining experience.

First time here, place looks good but the food is ok, I had a burrito fajita and it was missing flavor, the rice was the best part of my meal. I will say it’s over price, because the food can be more flavorful. I did like the draft Pacifico, you dont find that everywhere.

Well, if you want some good Tex mix tacos this is the place to go. Our server was more than polite and excellent in the job that he did today. We both had tacos and they are very good. And the seasonal mango margarita is amazing.

I just had the best experience at Cactus Grill, and I have to give a shoutout to our server, Addi. Seriously, for being only 16, this kid went above and beyond!
Right from the start, they were super friendly and made us feel right at home. She knew the menu inside and out and had great suggestions. I loved how she kept checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing.
It’s so cool to see someone so young with that level of dedication and enthusiasm. Thanks, Addi, for making our meal so awesome! I can’t recommend you enough—keep up the good work!!!

Greeted and sat within about 45 seconds.
Menu had some salsa on it inside the menu. (please pay attention to these things. It comes off like you don’t clean at all).
Restroom was clean so I know things get cleaned.
Regular salsa has a good taste to it. Spicy salsa isn’t super hot but definitely hotter than the regular salsa.
Desert rice was good, cooked properly.
Enchilada (ground beef) was done well.
Refried beans were meh. What can I say, they are refried beans.
Taco was really good and was stuffed with meat, lettuce and cheese.

The Cactus Grill has really stepped up their game with the two newer locations in South Overland Park and Lenexa. My wife Maggi and I have been frequent flyers to both locations. The chips are thin, crispy, and warm. The homemade salsa is one of the best IMO. The Birria Tacos and the Short Rib Enchiladas are my two favorites. The wait staff are always friendly and continue to check in with us. I recommend this place highly you won’t be disappointed. I Love This Place

This is our favorite of the Cactus Grill locations. Much nicer than the one in Leawood. Great food with a little different take, that I really like, on the rice and bean selections. Sometimes it can get a little loud when big groups are seated near you. We lived in Texas for many years and this is as good or better than any Tex-Mex we ate there!

After a long day of kids sports we decided to go to Cactus grill.
There was only a 25 min wait but for some reason we did not receive a notice that our table was ready.
We called in to check the status of our wait after 35 min, that’s when we figured out we missed our notice that our table was ready. They added us back into the que and told us we would be at the top of the list and the next table to be sat. Another 30 mins had past and we were starting to get a little impatient. I went in and asked to speak to the manager. Gabby (sp?) she took care of us right away, no arguing and extremely fair. She even comp’d some of our meal! This was a Saturday night, they were busy , but made it a point to get our family of 5 a table!

So its not authentic Mexican cuisine but then they never claimed to be. Tex Mex at it’s finest is on show here and they don’t disappoint. Having been here several times we come away with a full belly and satisfied with a good meal. Try them out, you will not be disappointed. Be prepared for a wait especially around core hours.
