Cactus Grill is a family-owned restaurant established in 2019, it comes from the idea of a Mexican and Guatemalan married couple, that love to cook, to spread the Oaxacan (A Southern state in Mexico) style of food. The Tlayuda is the main dish, a very famous Oaxacan craving, but they have a lot of variety on their menu. The owners try to give the best quality service to their customers, so if for any reason we don’t fulfill your expectations, please let the owner or manager know right away, and we promise that you will not leave with an unsatisfactory experience.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The decor is simple yet beautiful, the food choices are great and so are the prices, portion sizes are generous, and the service is phenomenal, too.
Sara was super courteous, helpful, and patient to help us with our strictly vegetarian options and Manny, the manager ensured us that none of the dishes that we had ordered will have any meat.
The food was super fresh, colorful, and very delicious, too. And last but not the least, the food arrived fairly quick, and while we were waiting for our orders to arrive, we were generously served fresh chips and salsa of four different types.
We love going to Cactus once every few weeks and will continue to do so.

My husband and I just got back from Guanajuato, Mexico and were craving authentic Chilaquiles and Cactus Grill came highly recommended by some friends in Manassas. IT WAS EXTRAORDINARY! My husband had the Chilaquiles Rojos and I had the Chilaquiles con Mole (the owner is from Oaxaca and makes the mole herself) and it was out of this world. We even had the Cafe de Olla (Mexican coffee with cinnamon). Manny, our waiter, was so kind and knowledgeable and told us all about the heritage of the owners and guided us through the vast menu of authentic Mexican food – so many delicious dishes. My husband and I LOVED it and will be routine customers! Go eat here! You will love it too!

Quite possibly one of the worst Mexican experiences I’ve ever had . Waiter forgot my chips and salsa , (3 people in restaurant ). My dinner was absolutely swimming in oil. I drained it out of my plate and it was just saturated in the entire meal. The entree had bacon in it so adding oil to that seems insane . It was borderline not even edible . Restaurant is falling apart , needs freshened up . Pictures speak for themselves , try out cactus grill to raise your cholesterol

We went in and instantly felt like on another country, Mexico! The vibe is on point and its clean. We are so happy with the service, our server Manny was the best! Friendly, accommodating and helped us a lot with our orders as it was our first time coming in this place. I had their amazing tacos and Manny gave us a complimentary dessert, Tres Leches, it was the best! Feel free to ask for him if you want to, he was such a vibe. He made our first experience here so much and we will definitely coming back!

We were on our way home from Falls Church back to the Shenandoah valley when we stumbled upon this place. My kids love Mexican food & I didn’t want fast food. Both of my kids are autistic, the waitress noticed my daughter going into sensory overload because the music was loud & she turned it down. Staff was really great. This was the best, most authentic Mexican food I’ve eaten in years. This was a great find on our way home. Highly recommend to check it out! Oh ya, the salsa & chips they brought out to snack on was absolutely delicious, the salsa wasn’t spicy but extremely flavorful, made with tomatillo tomatoes. Like I said, check them out 😉

I recommend the Tlayudas, is a good option to choose between the huge and delicious menu! Also the Birria Tacos is the favorite of my wife, the best birria tacos of VA!

Nataly, the owner served us an amazing 6 course meal, for 6 people. She managed to give us different appetizers, a wonderful birria broth, shrimps served in two different ways and green mole and a Oaxacan mole, to die for. The horchata is out if this world, a digestive mezcal/coffee drizzled with honey you could feel the notes of the coffee enhanced by the mezcal and the exact sweetness.
I want to gi back, this us truly mexican dishes, don’t let you fool you, come to Cactus Grill if you truly want to taste delicious authentic cuisine. Ask fir Manuel, a great server, who will explain every dish.

Cactus Grill is hands down one of the best experiences we’ve had. The evening staff is phenomenal—attentive, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Huge shoutout to Manny, who took care of us like family. The first time we came in, a DoorDash driver ate part of our order and Manny immediately replaced the tacos free of charge and handled it professionally with DoorDash.
The second visit sealed it for us. Every staff member checked in, sparked great conversation, and made the wait enjoyable. They even made my mom a jalapeño margarita that had her dancing—while still treating her with total respect, which means a lot to me. Amazing food, amazing people, and top-tier service. I truly hope this team gets the recognition they deserve.

Fabulous! The owner and servers are awesome. The food is incredible and you can tell by taste and look it’s all made here!! I had shredded chicken in my chimichanga which was divine. The rice is so light and fluffy. Would definitely make the trip out again.
