Old-school tavern with rustic decor, offering American & Mexican bar eats, cocktails & a pool table.

The place was filthy. I walked in and used their bathroom. I felt worse coming out then when I entered. When I got back to my table my wife said their prices were high and the food did not look good. With the view of their bathrooms and then the high prices, we left.
The entire Wall Drug store is overrated. Don’t be tempted by all the signs you see on the highway.

The service was, in my experience, somewhat better than your standard pandemic-level service. The waiter was actually pleasant. We expected slow service but weren’t at all put out by it because we were not in any kind of rush and understand the reality of service in our new normal. We would have been very happy with slow, courteous service and decent food (let’s face it, it’s Wall, SD).
The one star is because of the food. It was absolutely – awful. We had the buffalo burger. It looked like a frozen lunch room patty and tasted worse. We came only because it was the only place in town that allowed us to sit with our dog. We honestly wished that we had eaten one of those gas station hot dogs that the gas station attendants use to clean the toilets. The burgers were that bad. My wife’s first comment after leaving was that it was the worst food that she’s ever ate in this country (she’s been here for five years and has traveled all over the US and the world).
Basically, don’t go here. If your kids are hungry, there is no shortage of buffalo chips in Badlands, NP. They’ll probably taste better.

Eggs extremely over cooked, bisque were hard like they were from yesterday. Price did not reflect how bad the food is.

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. The food was awful. Basically over-priced little league ballpark concession stand food. Our meal for 4 people (hamburgers and chicken tenders) was over $70. The hamburger patties were rubber and the fries were frozen fries cooked in old grease. The condiments were fast food packets and the drinks were canned sodas. The cafe was nasty. There was an old sink sitting in the corner in the dining area! While there were very few customers in the cafe, the wait for service was long and we were made to feel like we were asking for too much when we asked for condiments for our plain dried out burgers . Don’t make the same mistake we did thinking you can beat the crowds at Wall Drug by eating here. Standing in line is worth it compared to the sub-par over-priced food options at this cafe.

I should have taken warning from the previous reviews and left when we had the chance. But we felt for the server that was working the whole floor by herself. We weren’t in any hurry and had been happy to just find a restaurant that didn’t have a long line.
It should have been our first clue. The second clue should have been the number of flies.
As previously mentioned, the server was working the room on her own. Every table was full of either people, or dishes. Everyone in the place with us seemed to be very understanding of her situation.
Halfway through our experience, another server did start appearing along with who I guessed was the cook, and also started delivering meals.
The wait was long, and the food was overpriced.
Over $40 for:
Two frozen chicken patties on a bun with a slice of Kraft White American cheese tossed on top
Two orders of fries.
Two cans of soda.
When we asked for mayonnaise, the server said that she thought they might be out but returned with two whole mayo packets.
The fries WERE good, though. And there was ketchup, so we didn’t leave hungry. But would not eat here again.

I think this is the first negative review I’ve ever left. The restaurant was smokey, smelly, and dirty. The food took over 40 minutes to get and, as far as I could tell, it was frozen food that you can get at any store and was simply reheated –the main difference being that you were charged $15 for a single burger instead of $5.99 for a pack of them. The service was alright given their situation; they seemed understaffed and that the kitchen was more at fault for the slowness then they were.
Overall, I would go out of my way to tell people to avoid this place. To be quick about it, it was bad. I hope the owners see this review and decide to make some changes.

Honestly, most of the reviews here say it all, and I wish I read them beforehand. The only good thing I could say is the waitress was hardworking and trying to do her best. The rest didn’t go well. They had a small amount of staff which meant an extraordinarily long wait time, and one of them didn’t seem to be doing anything at all which didn’t help. My first order came out wrong and the second one came out burnt. The food just tasted mediocre and the water I ordered was just being dispensed from a Lowe’s water cooler near the table. The design of the place was so gray, sad, and not welcoming whatsoever. The place didn’t seem to be cleaned well and was awfully quiet. There wasn’t any music which just added to the sadness of the place. Please treat this place like actual cactus and stay away from it. There are way better cafes in Wall you can go to.

I have never left a one-star review for a restaurant before. (If I could I would leave zero stars on this one.) The food was absolutely terrible. My taco salad meat was so dry and in chunks the size of a marble or bigger. The bison burger was drier than dry. (We aren’t even sure it was even bison.) Service was incredibly slow. The server was bringing out a couple of tables at a time. One person at one table would get their food and another person at another table would get their food. Meanwhile the other people at each table were just sitting there looking at each other completely bewildered. It was just bizarre. People were just getting up and leaving. The place is very run down and not clean. Flies everywhere. Such a missed opportunity being right across from the world famous Wall Drug! Go a couple of blocks over and eat at Red Rock. That food was fantastic!

Warning do not eat there! The bathroom has feces in there flies are all over the place my wife was deathly ill had to take her to the hospital found out she had food poisoning and no wonder! The tables were dirty you have to ask the waitress for syrup and butter for your pancakes! Had to ask for utensils everything was handed to you by her hand and I mean everything sugar salt pepper. They charge you $3 per cup of coffee the food was not good. They are overpriced you have to ask for your bill and the reason why they don’t show it to you is because they add on more. Be careful look at the bill we caught them overcharging Us by $5. Then they demand a tip can you believe that’s! If you value your health pass this place by. Even the other shop owners will warn you

Very uncomfortable experience. My mom & I walked in to this cafe due to the other restaurant nearby being too busy. We were greeted by a woman in a very unusual way. She didn’t seat us at our table, but rather point & quietly say we can sit at the booth she pointed at. When we sat down we were given the filthiest menu I’ve ever seen. It was so disgusting we didn’t even feel comfortable touching it. Her vibe was rather strange & the place was almost completely empty. No music either, just pure silence in the place. Food looked insanely overpriced & the menu was scarce. The place was so filthy we didn’t even trust the water cups. We left almost immediately after trusting our gut feeling. After reading other reviews, we realized we definitely dodged a bullet.
