I haven’t had much experience with Venezuelan food, but I’ve had plenty of Colombian dishes. I ordered the Cubano arepa, and it was delicious and very fresh. The arepa itself was cooked perfectly, not doughy at all and everything inside was well prepared and flavorful.
My only gripe was the takeout container; it was hard to get the arepa out without making a mess, so I ended up eating it (uncultured, I know) with a fork and knife. Service was fast, there’s a parking lot in the rear, and while it’s slightly on the expensive side, the quality was there.

First time at Cachapas in East Meadow tonight. We were just looking for something different for us. The food was amazing. Huge portions. Anything pernil is my recommendation. The service was perfect. We were there early, so very quiet. Staff was very friendly.

Venezuelan cheeseburger is good. Cost $15. Burger is even better with the side sauces put on it. Would buy it again if around the area.

Glad that there’s another arepa/cachapas restaurant on LI, along with the nearby ones. Although, I expected better quality food, especially with all the good reviews I’ve read here. Restaurant was clean, very quiet, and almost empty when I decided to stop by get some food to go. Service was ok. Loud music was playing and I had to yell out my order to the employee taking the order behind the counter. Another staff/employee was there cooking/prepping the food. Also, I don’t understand how some Venezuelan arepas restaurants don’t have a guasacaca sauce to serve with their food. Paid and waited for a while to get my order. The daily special of the crispy chicken and fries (with bacon, ham, and cheese) was very underwhelming. The crispy chicken was like those frozen processed chicken patties that was cooked and then sliced and served. The fries were overcooked, almost like it was stale fries that were recooked and served; It was very hard, flavorless, and mostly inedible. The shredded meat daily special was ok. Had the chicken, which was lacking flavor and a little dry. The black beans were good and it was served with a lot of white rice and a few pieces of fried plantain. Had the vegetarian arepa, not very filling and lacking flavor. The arepa itself was ok. Had the cachapa with cheese, which was very, very sweet…sweeter than it should be. It did have the correct texture and good griddled marks. I’ve had better arepas and cachapas at other restaurants on LI. Not sure if I’ll try the other food here or the same ones again.

The food here is AMAZING. The venezuelan food is rich, fresh and perfectly cooked. The tequeños are my favorite i recommend you get. The prices are also very affordable! If you’re looking for real Venezuelan food, this is the place for you. VIVA VENEZUELA ❤️!!

Terrible service… the food (empanadas were undercooked (raw dough)) the atmosphere is pleasant! Many aspects to improve so that the Venezuelan community feels at home!

Food is decent, it’s expensive the meat is dry and the taste is subpar. I tried to give it another chance but overall the food and quality sucks. The food taste old. I wouldn’t try or spend my money here, it’s Wierd how it has many 5 star ratings.

We ordered a bunch of different things from the menu and everything was delicious. The tequeños were perfect (10/10). Shredded beef and shredded chicken arepas were great. The actual arepas were a bit tough, I don’t know if its because I drove about 20 mins before I got to them or thats just how they usually are. Either way they were good and the filling was very well seasoned and really good (8/10). Also got the Dominican cachapa with fried salami and fried cheese was amazing! The sweetness of the cachapa with the saltiness of the cheese and salami, epic(9/10). The grilled steak tacucho was my favorite! The steak was tender and the flavor was great and very fresh(10/10). The cheese and potato empanada is a MUST TRY! (10/10). For dessert I got the Tres Leches which was my least favorite item because it was a completely different texture of cake than im used to but it wasnt terrible(7/10). Last, I got a bag of the Besito de Coco which was also very good. Its a type of cookie/cake made with shaved coconut inside. Texture is kinda dry but if you love coconut, you will enjoy this, it is also not super sweet or sugary(9/10). Overall experience was great and will definitely be back. Thank you!

I am never in the area and when my husband and I drove by famished, we had to stop. I wish I lived closer, I would have this place on repeat. Best Cachapa I’ve ever had, wow! The food is excellent, the staff is super lovely, the location is very clean. I had a cachapa Cubana and my husband had the Patacón with 3 meats. I took pictures of mine, but was unfortunately too engrossed in my own food to photograph his. Also by the time I looked up, his was gone, he inhaled it. If you like spicy food, ask for their homemade hot sauce – so good!

It’s a delight to come here. The service is friendly and helpful. They will explain everything to you if you have any questions. The food is absolutely delicious and I find myself craving it all the time. I often get cachapas with Venezuelan cheese(just cheese) or the vegan option(black beans, avocado, lettuce, tomato). Highly recommend!!!!!
