Should you check this place out?
Yeah.
Cabrera’s in Arcadia feels like one of those places where time slows down just enough for you to notice it. The staff greets you like they actually mean it, not because they’re trained to. The lighting’s warm, the booths feel lived in, and there’s always someone laughing somewhere — usually a family celebrating something small but important.
I got the carne asada tacos a la carte. Simple, juicy, that perfect grilled edge that makes you want another bite even when you’re full. She went with the cheese enchiladas, rich, melty, and exactly the kind of comfort food that makes you exhale a little deeper after the first bite. We finished with flan, smooth and caramel-sweet, the kind of dessert that makes silence between bites feel full rather than awkward.
Good for Dates?
I’m mixed on this one. If it’s a first date or a “getting to know you” vibe, maybe not. It’s more for family, close friends, or someone you’ve already built something with. The kind of place where you can relax, eat something good, and just chill. The servers check in just enough to remind you they care, but don’t interrupt when things are flowing. So if you just want to unwind, split flan, and talk about life. Cabrera’s is a solid move.
Final Verdict
Yes, check this place out. But not just for the food, for the moments that happen while you’re eating it.
however: the food was not good and that’s coming from someone thats not picky. I’ll usually eat the food even if its meh. But I couldn’t eat the flautas I ordered, they tried to do something new, different yet risky, and I get it, I applaud it. I was the one that took a risk ordering it as well lol but it wasn’t good.
When a big party came we struggled to get soda refills and our check. I don’t blame the waitress at all, management could do a bit of a better job. I paid $100 for food I didn’t enjoy for a family of 3. Too much to be honest.
Music was a little too loud.
I won’t be coming back, and I leave positive reviews for places that deserve it. But in this case it didn’t, and I rather be honest so that businesses can have good feedback so they can be better.
Not only is the food really good… but the staff are second to none.
They are easily the friendliest staff ever, very attentive, never leaves you waiting on anything.
The Margaritas are also excellent.
I wish they had more of a beer selection, but I know it’s a Mexican restaurant and they mostly supply Mexican but I wish they took in some microbreweries just to mix it up a little.
Great spot, well worth a visit.
Again… great staff

Still a great restaurant with great food and even better staff.
Very friendly staff
Very fresh food
I’ve enjoyed the carnitas michoacan, tacos a la Mexicana (steak), quesadilla (steak), guacamole, hard tacos, enchiladas and taquitos. The chips and salsa are really good too!
My aunt ordered take out and brought it to me at the hospital when I was having an 8 hour infusion appt and everything was delicious. We both commented that it tasted even be better than when we eat in the restaurant! (I was starved all day for the medical procedure so I may have just been really hungry but damn, it was so good!)
I would recommend visiting Cabrera’s if you want a delicious Mexican meal!
We dined in the Duarte one today for lunch. The restaurant provided outdoor dining with social distancing and disinfection measures. All waiters and waitresses wear masks and face shields.
Foods are fantastic here. Personally I feel they have better Mexican foods then El Torito. My burrito came with great taste and a lot of fried beans and rice. My wife’s fajita was delicious with sizzling beef and veggies on the hot cast iron plate. The chips were a bit different than what I used to in other Mexican restaurants as it is quite thick. We ordered ice teas to cool ourselves down. Overall it was good food and a pleasant dining environment with good service.
I ordered the camarones al mojo de ajo, and it was delicious! However, it tasted even better. Tool my husband a couple of days later. Unfortunately, we forgot to take pictures. He ordered the enchiladas suizas the pollo, and I got the asada with mojo de ajo shrimp. Again, it was all delicious.
