As a group of 6, we had a wonderful lunch experience. The service was friendly and attentive. The menu items we ordered came in a very timely way. The quality of our food was very delicious and was tastefully presented.
I personally found the Smoked Brisket Sandwich to be vey flavourful.
The setting of the restaurant in the courtyard of the Vernon Lodge was relaxing. You could forget where you were in terms of the location and weather. The fact a stream runs through the restaurant is an interesting feature. It would be interesting eating a meal when there is heavier runoff.
I highly recommend this restaurant when in Vernon.

Went for dinner with my spouse. Darrel was great, witty and very charming. The food was delicious, and the kitchen can accommodate allergies very well. The ambience was nice and calming. We left happy, full bellies, and a warm hearted farewell from Darrel at the end. Thank you Darrel and staff for giving us an awesome experience

We had a large group of 17 people at this absolutely terrific venue choice for our Mother’s 80th Birthday celebration. The private area that was set up for our group was perfect. The staff went above and beyond by setting some decorations and extra wide tables so that it was easy to see everyone and converse. The noise volume in that area was quiet for a restaurant and therefore very enjoyable for all. Especially some who are noise sensitive.
All the tropical plants make the ambiance feel as though you are on vacation somewhere beautiful.
The staff were very efficient and there as needed but not noticed.
The food came out piping hot and all received at about the same timing, which would be a difficult task but they did it perfectly.
Each dinner item ordered was thoroughly enjoyed by all and we did have some big eaters in the group who were very satisfied with the portions. The rest took a box home.
I grew up going to this restaurant and it was always one of my favorite. I heard that around 15 years ago it wasn’t so good. Whatever changes were made were the correct ones because our experience was outstanding!!
I will be coming back each time I’m in Vernon.

Haileigh was our sever tonight, and she was the best I’ve ever had. Thank you for allowing our first experience to be so memorable! My husband and I had the steak, and it was so incredibly delicious that Haileigh brought Chef Jason out so we could thank him for making such a delicious steak. I can honestly say it was the best steak I’ve ever enjoyed. Thank you both for the experience, I genuinely cannot wait to return!

Darrell. Ill never forget his exceptional service and his unforgettable and absolutely contagious humble attitude. He went above and beyond what should be expected of a waiter.
Not to mention, Darrell executed each role by himself as a host, server, bar tender, buster, and new friend.
I mentioned I like Gin when he asked if I’d like another beverage and offered to make me a specialty cocktail off the menu, his own personal twist on and inspired by the Lemon Drop. He reassured my taste buds and waited for approval before leaving the table, making sure I was satisfied. He then named the drink after me, Charmane.
Bless your tongue and taste buds with the Charmane.

This is a dining experience that has exceptional service. They accommodate you as much as possible with the most polite people. The food was absolutely delicious. It did not disappoint in any way. I have worked in this industry as a pastry chef and pastry chef de partie I charge of dining rooms myself. This is an absolute pure dining pleasure. This will always be on my go to list and it should be yours as well

Darryl approached us in a very inviting and friendly manner and offered us two menus to choose from, Cabana and Brix. He then told us the special, which was the chicken schnitzel and warm potato salad. That is what I ultimately ordered and it was phenomenal!! So tasty and warm! We had coffee and it was hot and fresh, this was 7pm so we expect gross coffee normally that has been sitting all day! And then dessert….OMG!!! my husband had the sticky toffee pudding and I had the New York cheesecake! Both were delectable!! We will be returning tomorrow! Thank you Darryl! Definitely beat Mr Mikes that we had planned to go to out of closeness lol
