4 stars only because after we paid the customer service was non existent. No refills. No desert offerings.
Had to eventually ask for refills, which a different lady gladly provided.
We are a big family meeting for lunch and chatting, definitely could of used some refills, definitely would of ordered dessert if she would of checked on us.
Food was absolutely delicious.
Could tell it was all home made and fresh.
Did not pay attention to the fact there is a 4 percent charge to use a card.
The pickle wraps were my favorite.
The olive burger had olive sauce on both sides of the bun.
Fries are very delicious.

It was our first time there, food was Amazing, perfectly cooked, very flavorful and staff was very friendly. Menu has something for everyone and the prices were great. My new favorite place even though it is 1/2 hour away. Will definitely be back

Excellent variety of food on the menu and prices competitive. Serving portions did not disappoint, with 2 of us having enough left over for a second meal. Everything was tasty and service was very good and friendly and our food came in no time at all. I also like being able to have breakfast choices at lunch time. This is all around a great place to eat and I definitely would come back. My sister and I invited our two 80 plus year old aunts for lunch and was a very pleasant, fun and tasty experience so Thanks to all at C& Js

If you’re passing through the little town of Howardcity stop by and try out CJ’s next to Rustic Sports/Exxon off old 131 Darling Dr. just south of M 82 and/or the one and only but we have an hour city

The menu is extensive, featuring unique burgers, hot beef and turkey sandwiches, steaks, chicken, fish & chips, frog legs, and a Southwest menu.
I ordered the fish dinner, having two batter choices (the light and crispy option was excellent). The accompanying salad bar was very good, offering common favorites plus extra items like homemade potato salad and bacon bits.
My grandson ordered the hot turkey sandwich served on homemade bread and smothered in gravy. He’ll get a couple of meals out of that order.
The atmosphere is casual, bustling, clean, and unfussy.
Despite being busy, the food was served in very good time. The staff was friendly and attentive.
C & J’s offers quality comfort food, exceptional variety, and fast, friendly service at reasonable prices.
If you are passing through Howard City Michigan I recommend stop in and give it a try. I think you’ll really enjoy it.

My meal was good, but my sister got the auce ribs & they came so dry that she couldn’t eat. She had me try & you couldn’t chew or swallow because so dry. Told the waiter & he asked if he could bring her something else. So she got the fish, but that ended up being soggy & she gave up because they were so busy she didn’t want to wait any longer. I got the fish & mine was prepared perfectly, but I did ask for it to be crunchy. My loaded baked potatoe was delicious & hers was hard. Both our green beans turned out good. I felt so bad for my sis because this place has never let me down. I told her it might have been because it was the all you can eat night so they were extra busy. We both noticed after on both of our checks we got charged an extra 2.00 but it didn’t say what for & then an added .4% added when we paid. There was a sign about the .4% but didn’t read or see anywhere explaining the 2.00 extra & we forgot to ask when we paid because it took them so long to come check us out.

Tried this place for the first time and we were very happy. The interior is your basic Mom and Pop place, homey, kitschy but clean. Large portions of food, decent prices and an excellent very friendly service staff!!! We had the pork skewers with teriyaki sauce (very good, fresh off the grill) and the fish dinner— enough for two on one plate! We are planning on coming back to try out their breakfast! And we will certainly be back again for dinner!!

We stopped here on our way through the area and I was blown away by how tasty and flavorful the GRILLED CHICKEN WRAP W/ HONEY MUSTARD was. Definitely recommend you try it. Also at the table was a Chicken Avacado Melt. Big thumbs up.

Went in for my first visit and was very impressed. It wasn’t busy and we got a seat right away. The server was very friendly and prompt. The menu has a large selection of foods. I had the chili in a bread bowl and it was very good. My son had chicken tenders and fries. The fries were crispy and very good. The tenders appeared to be hand cut and battered for frying. They were delicious!! It was fun to see a robot, they call Rosie, bring the food to the table. The atmosphere is that of a small diner/restaurant, exactly like I like. I will definitely be going back to try other menu items.
