This place has a nice comfy vibe too. All that we came across was nice sweet people. Did I mention this place has creamed tomatoes, aka tomato gravy. It was delicious! Their hamburgers were so good too! Everything was hot and juicy. If you like SWEET tea, this is the place to get it. I’m a fan a sweet sweet tea. Has a gambling portion in the resturaunt too if you are into that. It’s supposed to have a buffet but I didnt see that. I’ll look better next time I am there.

Had to wait over 20 minutes, no line, for 2 chili dogs and 2 fries. I actually had to finally ask them to just cancel my order. Instead of cancelling it, they finally brought it. Chili buns had been made apparently for a long time before my fries … so they were soggy, 1 fry was 1/4 full, other about 3/4. Lots of people working but my order seemed to be very low priority. When I took fries back to complain, worker stuck her hand, no gloves, into my bag of fries to feel them!!! I then said that I did not say they were cold but that they were nearly empty, assuming that is WHY she did that!! Even if I had said they were cold, why would she just stick her hand into my food?! I saw one worker wiping nose with hand and then went on to prepare food. No one had gloves on that I saw that was preparing food!!! Very upsetting as I have been there many times before over the years and never had such poor service. I was very disappointed in food, service and attitude of workers. I have only complained about any service anywhere about 3 times in my life. This service was so bad that I had to do this review. Sad but true account of my visit. My experience was VERY, VERY BAD!!!!

Delicious country home cooking. Service is prompt and friendly. They offer a buffet and salad bar in addition to the regular menu. Be sure to save room for dessert…their pies and sundaes are to die for.

If you’re driving through Randolph County on a warm summer day take the time and drive up to C and J’s Restaurant for some raspberry ice cream. As a former resident of the area, it’s a must stop for us on the rare occasions we get back there during the summer. You might have to wait a bit longer at the walk-up window but the taste of that raspberry ice cream is more than worth it. Take a road trip through the beautiful mountains of WV this summer and find your way to C and J’s. Reminder: raspberry ice cream.

The best part of the place is its 3 places in one! The resturant has two different dining area that are separated by a walk up window for quick orders, the staff can walk between the two sides of course, but the dining rooms are totally seperated for the customers. the customers, there is the whole menu, daily specials, shakes, ice cream cones ( the speciality is raspberry soft serve ), pies of many flavors, awesome chocolate cake with caramel icing and a Buffett on Saturday and sunday, and on top of it all Keno is available continually. I would give It a try if you are looking for a Home style Restaurant / ice cream parlor with a convenient window outside !

Homemade butterscotch pie was excellent. The food on the buffet was hot, delicious, and good variety. And this was at 230 in the afternoon. Will definitely go again.
