Walking into Bao Zai Zheng, the menu is dazzling with its wide variety of choices: tender chicken, fragrant beef, handmade meat patties, traditional Chinese sausages, bacon, and cured duck, each of which is a sincere invitation to the taste buds. What is more worth mentioning is the special sauce developed in cooperation with Lee Kum Kee, which injects a new soul into the traditional clay pot rice.
The 15-minute wait is Bao Zai Zheng’s consideration of the pace of life of modern urbanites. They use professional equipment and precise heat control to ensure quality, so that delicious food no longer requires a long wait. Each pot of rice is cooked on the spot, which not only retains the essence of traditional clay pot rice, but also adapt

The hot pot here is really good, with fresh ingredients and a wide variety of options to choose from. The flavors are rich and satisfying, and everything tastes very fresh. On top of that, the price is quite affordable, making it a great spot for both casual meals and gatherings with friends or family. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, which makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend others to come and give it a try—you won’t be disappointed.

Stumble upon this traditional Cantonese clay pot rice, and we couldn’t be more delighted. Service was quick, clay pot rice was divine and to top it off they have a traditional herbal drink instead of other unhealthy options. The rice crisp from the clay pot with some of their soy sauce, absolute to die for. While I enjoy my meal, they have dim sum options for my kiddos while we wait for the rice to cool for them. Also highly recommend their pig ears appetizer, a bit spicy but so addicting.

This is a Cantonese clay pot.
I am not Cantonese so I cannot tell whether it is delicious or not, but I personally think it is good.
Especially the sausage and bacon one !
The rice will have crispy crust at the end, and the portion is not big, but just right for girls.

The 2 clay pots we had were tasty & piping HOT. He had beef & egg, I had “special” spare rib which is one of my favorite dishes to make at home: small pork ribs w/cartilage, cut bite sized, seasoned & steamed til tender. Theirs was not cooked long enough. Cartilage was hard & unchewable & meat did not fall off the bone like it should. Both flavors were tasty & rice cooked til it left a nice toasted crust to eat. Will ask them to cook pork longer next time we go. Excited that this place serves real rice pot with that good toasty rice crust (in Cantonese: fon jiu)! Definitely going back to try all the many different flavors!

Chicken n mushroom rice is pretty good. Interior is nice and clean. The window displays are nice but no idea which one is which. Should label them like what they do at Japanese restaurant. Prices are a bit high.

When to try BZZ claypot in Cupertino village today. This is a new claypot restaurant and we ordered three different claypot. Chicken with mushroom, beef and egg and signature lap Mei. All tastes pretty good. Recommend to go early to avoid long line. Overall pretty decent place for a meal. Since it is claypot, it takes a while for the dishes to be ready. They cook to order.

This is supposed to be authentic Cantonese clay pot rice.
I have never been to Canton( Guandong), so can’t comment on its authenticity.
Compared to Hong Kong clay pot rice, The Hong Kong versions are very similar, but seem more refined.
BZZ’s white rice is too dry and simply hard and without much aroma.
The proteins are generally good tasting, but not the best.
Overall, it’s not bad, but I would not wait in line for the food.
I would eat it when it’s convenient for me.

We ordered salted fish eggplant claypot rice. It was very delicious. Salted fish is right amount with flavor that brings out so much appetite. We enjoy the whole dining experience. Staffs were very nice and introduced us their signature dish and filled up water. Highly recommend. Definitely will come back again to try another dishes.

The clay pot doesn’t taste like it was made up on ordering. It came out in 10 minutes, the clay pot was warm, and the rice wasn’t as crispy as it should be.
The chicken was flavorful and tender.

Love it !!! Ever since Wonton House in El Camino Real closed down, I was craving for clay pot. This canton style clay pot didn’t let me down. Really authentic — clay pot with crispy bottom!!! Woo Love it. If you are a Cantonese, crispy bottom for claypot is really important. Pour over some tea or soup over it to make it perfect.
I ordered Chinese Sausage clay pot and salted fish with eggplant. It was pretty yummy. My son couldn’t stand the smell of salted fish because he is a ABC, but I love it. The soup with Morchella is delicious too.
The price is reasonable, around $13 -15 per pot. I ate pho at little Saigon, each dish costed me $19 plus.
