New building! So much nicer. You just turn and drive past the old creamery and it is right behind it adjacent to Music Building parking lit. It is gorgeous. Love all the food selection. They have premade pasta and yummy sauce. They have ice cream cakes. Sandwiches. Amazing salads. The prices are pretty decent too. Also the signature BYU mint brownies, chocolate milk, maple bars and ranch dressing. They also have BYU merch, puzzles, and fresh produce.

They have Coke freestyle machines. They also have a little stand with all the veggies like lettuce, tomatoes and these super amazing pickles. They have fry sauce and ketchup and also their signature ranch.

I miss the nostalgia of the old building but this is definitely a great change. Super impressed.

The food is reasonably priced, but the hamburger and breaded chicken are worse that McDonald’s. The fried chicken patty is not a very crispy frozen piece of chicken. And the hamburger is consistently overcooked. The brioche bun is a nice touch for the price. Fries were a little soggy. The ice cream is great though. 3 star food but 4 star ice cream.

The NEW location is finished and open!!! Everything looks amazing and their grocery offerings are greatly expanded. The space for families and students to enjoy a sweet treat or grill food is much more comfortable as well.

The portions are very generous. The atmosphere is so light and fun. I had no idea this was a mini grocery store. They all have other food options. The 150 flavor was my favorite. They provide samples of any of the ice cream. The workers were so nice and super patient about my indecisive ice cream selection. They do allow half and half options.
The parking lot is very tiny and tricky to get into.

Got pics of the new CONE. It makes me think of a whole foods as well as a gas station and more, because it has all you can eat, then home needs and entertainment products (puzzles, toys) and so forth. It’s definitely bigger than the old spot, but it’s still kinda cramped for sitting and eating! At least during winter. There’s a ton of outdoor seating in tiers now too. Parking lot is still getting worked on at the time of my visit, but it’ll get there. It still has all the food and ice cream you come for, though, just different lines and cashiers for ice cream vs anything else (burgers, fries).
Four tables round seats for 6
8 barstools
7 booths for 4
2 round corner booths for 6
2 rectangle seat+booth for 4, one 1+1 seat/booth for 2
(Indoor seating for 82)
Soda freestyle machines x 3
Condiments bar set apart between food lines and entrance
Lots of booster seats/high chairs
Two tiers of outdoor seating fixed picnic tables
Restrooms and drinking fountain/water bottle refill at the back straight down aisle 5

Ice cream was pretty good. Obviously a very popular place. Lots of flavors to choose from and the us a grocery store and eatery that is equally busy. I just had some ice cream. Price is very good.. $5.49 for a pint.

The BYU creamery on ninth has always been a great place to get a classic hamburger, one with house-made real-meat quality. They just expanded into a full-sized grocery store, and have plenty of outdoor seating with awnings and space heaters!

Hard to give the right number of stars because the ice cream is absolutely incredible. But the food? Almost inedible. I lived at Heritage Halls in 2010 and the burgers and fries were sooo good. Even through the years whenever I’ve come they’ve been good. My husband and I just went tonight to see the new building, and we were surprised that the food was so bad. I’d rather eat at McDonald’s any day. The burgers were bland and dry, whereas they used to be tender and delicious. The buns are pretty tough, and the fries are also bland. Let me just say this: my husband will usually eat whatever is set in front of him. But he stopped eating halfway through and didn’t want to finish.

We noticed a lot of the employees being less than helpful and sometimes just rude. A lot of the customers there were pretty rude and selfish, whereas it used to be such a fun little place where everyone was happy and kind. Idk what happened to the people or the food but we were disappointed. The building was nicer and had a cute outdoor area, but the heaters need to be a little closer than they are. If I were BYU I’d invest in some quality control for the food and the employees. But yeah, as always the ice cream is amazing and we love BYU. Hope it gets fixed and the food can go back to the way it used to be.

In town for the 4th of July. Stopped by the famed Creamery to introduce my kids to the memorable ice cream and store. Only… the ice cream part of the store is closed… while the workers just sit there and wait for the time that it will open (in 20 minutes). So we have to get the small containers of ice cream out of the fridge. But there were only 3 non-standard choices. No chocolate? Vanilla? Don’t know when we will be back in town again. They were just sitting there. Why couldn’t they go ahead and serve us?

SANDWICHES SHOULDN’T HAVE 570% DAILY SODIUM ! 5x the daily limit- that sounds like it could kill you! All their fast food options there have about this much sodium. Your body will retain so much water, you pop like a balloon . You really shouldn’t eat here, just eat somewhere else. Bic Mac have 13 times less sodium
