The menu at Byron Bay Oyster Bar & Seafood Restaurant leans into simple preparations to let quality produce shine. As it should, the produce, including the oysters and seafood, will move with the seasons ensuring only the most pristine produce is used and the menu is a true testament to the beauty of seasonality. Our state-of-the-art oyster tank uses carefully filtered water collected on a king tide from nearby Brunswick Heads to naturally cleanse the oysters of any impurities. It also regenerates them to the pristine condition that’s usually reserved for oysters consumed straight from the water at a farm.

It was my first time trying the restaurant, and my friend and I had an amazing experience.
Julian (the French waiter) made our evening special from the very first moment. He was incredibly attentive, polite, kind, sweet, and constantly making sure we had absolutely everything we needed.
The food was delicious, the oysters were super fresh, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was truly special and cozy.
Thank you so much — we’ll definitely be back!

Service was excellent.
We walk in for the dinner on our first day in Byron Bay, it was pretty good so we decided to come again another day.
I like we can choose the different sauces on the oysters, its a fun
Prawn ravioli, cuttlefish and market fish all cook well.

We loved our experience at your Byron Bay Oyster Bar! We are huge seafood lovers, so we were excited to dine here. The oysters were fantastic – the Oomami flavour was incredible, also loved the fermented chilli and mignonette. The oysters were fresh and delicious. Oyster happy hour was a nice surprise too! Our waitress was excellent and made our experience so enjoyable. She had a laugh with us and had a great sense of humour. The yellowfin tuna was our favourite dish, the savoury flavours and the freshness of the tuna were heaven. Special mention of the nduja kind prawns too! Thank you for great night out 🙂

This place does the best oysters in Byron! We came here for lunch a few weeks ago and shared the most delicious fresh oysters, a glass (or two!) of bubbly, a juicy steak sandwich, and a super fresh salad with grilled prawns. Everything was absolutely spot on.
They’ve got a whole oyster menu too! The choices are so unique and creative—we were impressed:) I wish they were in Brisbane so we could go all the time!
It’s part of the Marvell Street Hotel, with both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can soak up the sun or get cosy inside. Such a nice spot for a tasty bite and a drink. The service was great too—friendly, relaxed, and efficient. We’ll definitely be coming back for more oysters!

We enjoyed a beautiful Christmas lunch from start to finish. The stracciatella with native vinegar and stone fruit jam was fresh and perfectly balanced, and the mezcal cured snapper with citrus and finger lime was outstanding. Loved the thoughtful use of native ingredients, especially the burnt wattle seed butter. The kiwi and lime granita with coconut and macadamia praline was the perfect refreshing finish. An exceptional festive dining experience. Highly recommend.

Very impressive venue. We stayed in Hotel Marvel so breakfast was included. Quality breakfast and nice service.
The restaurant offers $3 Oysters 5pm-6pm daily. They are small however dressings, cheese etc are well worth it.
We ate here twice for dinner on our stay. We were served by a waitress (Jesmond i think) with banter and passion. I usally don’t like to go to the same place but couldn’t resist. The first time we ate a seafood platter. Favourite dishes were the lobster roll and swordfish. The roll was juicy and full of flavour. The swordfish was cooked to perfection.
The second dinning session we ate Oysters (of course), truffle pasta and steak. The pasta was Al Dante with a hearty sauce. The steak was cooked medium rare all the way through the thick steak. Well done to the chefos. I would come again and try the 1.3kg.

A very enjoyable meal at this relatively new eatery. The food was very, very well curated. Portions were similar to fine dining and the menu is designed for ‘sharing’ – basically, a tasty morsel each. We ordered 8 dishes between 4 people, a bottle of bubbly and tea to finish. The helpful waitress had recommended 10-12 dishes for a table of 4 people. Overall, recommended and will visit again should the stars align.
