Overall the experience was good. Clean and friendly atmosphere. Staff is very attentive and kind. The food was good, some items are overly priced while other items are a bit more affordable. I’ve included two pictures of the entire menu. Personally it was my first time visiting this establishment so I was very excited, but then a little disappointed in the menu options. There is no picking or choosing sides, you get what they give you which is a basket of bread with butter, a bowl of basic sald and a bowl of beef onion soup which is their version of french onion soup but it basically noting but broth with some shredded cheese at the bottom of the bowl, there were two slivers of onion in my broth and it wasn’t warm enough to melt the cheese. I personally ordered the pork chops which were beautiful (all the meat looked fantastic) and it did taste good however it was quite dry, not as tender and juicy as it looked like it would have been. I can’t speak for the other dishes (party of 14) but everyone seemed to be satisfied. So if you’re looking for a nice place to eat and you’re in the area I’d recommend giving this establishment a GO at least once. And I must add that our waitresses was really great which is why I’m giving 5 Stars.

I was so hopeful for this place. I had heard a lot of good things so we decided to try it. My first warning should have been the borderline empty restaurant at 6 on a Friday night. After about a 2 minute wait we were seated. The menu appeared rather simple and the pricing led me to believe the quality would be high. I had the 12oz ribeye medium which was cooked correctly. She had the pork chop which was incredibly overcooked like it had been sitting in the oven and only thrown on the grill to give it the grill marks. The steak was so bland I had to use A1 steak sauce and her pork chop was so dry she had to ask for bbq sauce. Both meals came with French onion soup and salad. The salad was the highlight of the whole meal even though it was basically the same as the bag stuff you get at the store. The soup was so foul I had to take a picture of it to warn others. Essentially it’s some flimsy onions in a beef broth with a piece of bland bread and unmelted cheese in the bottom. At these prices I expect quality. You can get better quality at a chilis for way cheaper. Just sad.

I haven’t been here since I was in the single digits, I forgot how great it was here! We went here for my mom’s 64th birthday with my aunt and uncle. My mom got a burger, aunt got a pork chop, uncle got beef tips and I got the surf n turf. ( 12oz sirloin and shrimp) The layout of this place is different, very cool but different, kinda gives you a feeling of being underground or in a cave, it’s very cool.
And the French onion soup is INCREDIBLE!!!

Truly 5 star experience. Friendly staff, and it felt like a fancy multi-course meal. The sword fish was fantastic, the steak was a great cut and cooked perfectly. This is my new go to steak house.

The restaurant is so cool, like a museum with artifacts John has collected over the years. I had Sirloin tips and they were cooked to perfection, so much and delicious. I got a baked potato that was hot and soft just like I like it. Tina is awesome.

Its been years. All I remember is the menu was limited. Steak and a few other options. The steak was great. It was the first time id ever had French onion soup. It was pretty darn good. The decor was weird and there is a weird little museum in the back of the building. Would stop in again if im ever in that part of Indiana again.

My wife and I took two friends out to dinner at Bynums. It was a horrible experience. Almost no wait time to set down. But that was the only good thing. It seems they had a party of 30 seated and we were told that’s what was taking so long. The french onion soup was nothing more than beef broth out of a carton poured into cup and a piece of bread put in it. In the bottom there was some tiny bits of cheese. It was not hot. Two of the steaks were cooked incorrectly. One of them was cooked to the point it was almost gray.
When ordering I asked about the chicken fettucine I saw on the web site but not on the menu. The server said it was a special that night so I ordered that. After I placed the order the server came back and said they were out of manicotti?? One of our drinks was incorrect. There was no bread delivered to the table until I asked for it halfway through our meal. Any request was followed by LONG delays. It was so long getting our food that I was tempted to leave.

I almost never leave reviews, but for the price people are paying for these meals. They should be aware that this place is none other than a glorified Overpriced diner. A group of 4 and none of our extremely flavorless steaks were cooked correctly Some of us were just ready to eat the meal and get it over with I used A1 which I never do. If we hadn’t been so hungry, we would have immediately left upon walking in because the place smells like a damp dank basement or like an old cabin that’s been closed up for the winter But we gave it a shot considering we are fans of the southside Bynum’s and figured this place would be just as good. No food smell at all inside Or outside of the restaurant. There was no wait time, but maybe a couple minutes the hostess came looking a little medicated or maybe a lot medicated. The star of the show was the fresh bread. The salad was just like grocery store bought bag salad mix. The onion soup was like warm beef broth with un melted cheese at the bottom of the bowl and when I say warm, I like my bathwater hotter than the soup was we addressed it and they brought us out new bowls, and they were still lukewarm with unmelted cheese in the bottom of the bowl. We all ordered shrimp cocktail. It was served on a plastic plate with plastic dipping cups. Nothing at all like the southside Bynums who have chilled salad plates, and nice dinnerware. One of our guests had to send a steak back because it was cooked so badly for almost a $400 meal to say we are disappointed is an understatement. This was our first and our last trip to this location. If anyone reads my review fully take yourself to the south side Bynums for a Truly great steakhouse experience.

We love Bynums, but since we live out of town, we don’t go very often. This time, everything was just as wonderful as we had always remembered. It’s hard to believe that the best shrimp cocktail we’ve ever had is at this restaurant in Martinsville, Indiana. My wife had a steak, and I had the prime rib, and both were excellent. They make a very nice martini, as well. We will definitely have to go more often.

Great place to have a steak. It is tucked away just off I 69. The staff were all very good and the steaks were cooked perfect to order. Everything was reasonably priced. The restaurant was clean. Each entree came with three sides that inckuded a salad and their soup of the day. Bread is brought out early and was very good.
