This is the best gluten free bakery !! I first found this company in the city, and I used to make a special trip every so often to the city to get fresh quality gluten free treats!
I was so delighted to discover their Greenwich location was just as wonderful.
I love coming into their store and finding new fresh items bakes daily. They have their staples such as their chocolate chip cookies which are the best ones I have ever had ! Along with their brownies. I still can’t believe this is all gluten free.
I used to have to resort to the frozen section at Whole Foods for gluten free deserts , but not anymore.
They also have a great menu to order custom cakes for holidays, events and any other custom bakery needs you might have.
But don’t expect to sit and have a cup of coffee and enjoy your gluten free dessert , there is no room for that. It’s just a grab and go place.
They do offer a very simple selection of regular coffee. And surprisingly they have a cute little section of cards, candles and matches. A little random but it gives the place a cute touch.

I don’t always leave reviews but when I do it’s normally bc my experience was so amazing. I have gone to this bakery many times & the next experience is always better than the last. I love all their baked goods from the cookies to the muffins and the cakes. But this experience I have to shout out Jena from the kitchen part of the bakery. Not only was she so kind so patient and so understand. But she was sweet and made the experience so much better. This is by far my favorite bakery and they have a customer for life I tell everyone I know how amazing they are. I mean gluten free and dairy free with all the taste and cakes are moist and delicious. I don’t even have any allergies to gluten or dairy, but this is the bakery for me. By the way bakery, you guys are amazing. Can’t thank you enough for making every experience there phenomenal.

My daughter ordered a carrot cake for my birthday this week we picked it up today 10/11 from Greenwich location I’m sorry to say the cake was dry, it did have a nice spice as advertised the frosting was overly sweet I was so disappointed especially given the cost! I’m returning to the store tomorrow with 3/4 of the uneaten cake and hopefully will get a refund. We have bought items from here previously but not for some time (I’ve purchased their chocolate & coconut cake frozen from Whole Foods @ $22.99) and had no complaints!

Very nice bakery. Not a lot of fancy items but they are expert in what they offer. I took their sour cherry cake, my gf took the chocolate cake and an almond flavoured cookie.
I did not like the cookie. But, the sour cherry and the chocolate cake was delicious to say the least. It’s not a cheap place though. Cost is high but overall worth a visit and has nice friendly staff.

Stopped in this bakery while walking by. Tried the cupcakes one chocolate vanilla and one vanilla chocolate. Cupcakes were delicious. The batter of the cake fulfilling very tasty and spongy inside and a nice slightly crisp texture on top . Buttercream cream frosting was delicious and not overly sweet or was it too bland. Lovely bakery with delicious desserts. I ordered 2 six inch birthday cakes here that were exceptional (Chocolate Raspberry and Strawberry Shortcake)so tasty!! I also highly recommend the creme puffs that they have there, they’re made fresh every morning and are so soft, and this was my first time trying creme puffs so I was pleasantly surprised. The customer service here was also fantastic, both women behind the counter were very kind and helpful

My girlfriend has a Gluten allergy and it’s very hard to find places that specialize in that niche, especially bakeries. Well, the search is over. I purchased a Triple Chocolate cake for her birthday from By the Way Bakery and was completely blown away. It was the most amazing cake we had ever eaten. Couldn’t tell the difference. Will definitely be going here for all baked goods in the future.
