We’ve been wanting to try this place since it opened. We visited today and it was very nice. There weren’t many people. Our server was very friendly. We ordered Loaded Nachos and a Southwest Chicken Salad. Everything was very good. The only thing missing was the tortilla chips for my salad. The decor has a lot of cute funny posters from movies and shows. It nice and bright. We would like to try other items when we come back for a visit. Everyone should give this place a try.

Finally got out to try By Golly’s Springfield , and we were very impressed! The decor is inviting, with so much spacious seating (tables, booths, bar, patio). I love a place with funny wall art, lots of woodwork, and movie posters!
We were seated quickly by Chelsea, our delightful server. She was immediately friendly and welcoming. Throughout our meal, she checked on us multiple times and was very attentive. She served our drinks, app, and food REALLY fast!
As for the food, we ordered a Pretzel Bites app, large portion served with tasty beer cheese. My entree was the chicken quesadilla, full of tender, tasty chicken and glorious cheese pulls. We were told that the chicken and the quesadillas are cooked on the open grill which just gives them a wonderful fresh flavor. I also ordered a side of fresh steamed broccoli and it was delicious, cooked in butter and sprinkled with shaved parmesan. My daughter chose the chicken tenders platter. Reported that the three generous tenders were delicious and perfectly cooked. They came with a large helping of waffle fries and coleslaw, which she doesn’t eat often but loved.
Realize this restaurant got some bad press in the beginning but I think they have worked out their kinks and we will gladly be visiting them again. Give them a try, and you won’t be sorry either! Springfield is lucky to have them.

This is our second time trying it as the first time they were all out of practically everything. Their pizza and tots were the best items we’ve had there. Pretzel bites were fairly standard, but a homemade mustard aioli would elevate it. Shrimp po boy is good but i wish it had more flavor or spice to it. The loaded appetizers dont need to be topped with shredded cheese because the liquid cheese is sufficient and the shredded makes the cheese a weird texture. I would also keep the shredded lettuce out of the dish as it was all cold and soggy. The omg burger had no heat to it. But its fine overall, the flavors just need to be pushed a bit more. Service has always been amazing for us. All times they were personable and friendly.

We were excited to try this place, but it was underwhelming. The full nachos were very small, in my opinion. The other dishes we ordered (chicken tender platter, OMG burger, and buffalo chicken wrap) were nothing special. No bad, but also pretty boring; no zest.

Drove by this place every work day so I decided to try it out. The staff was super friendly as soon as I walked in.
I tried the shroom and Swiss burger with waffle fries and a drink. The burger was good and the waffle fries were the best I ever had. Better than chick fil a, the standard.
I also tried the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was great. Ordered a root beer float because I like the idea of it but never found a place that executed it how I imagined. This place made it happen. I was impressed.
I love wings and they are half off on Wednesdays so I go on Wednesdays. The bourbon BBQ is good.

Onions rings were so hard and greasy, didn’t eat them. chicken quesadilla was also greasy and the chicken was hard as a brick and burnt, burger was well done asked for med but it was eatable. Salad with chicken was good but brought wrong salad dressing. Bad thing is they weren’t even busy so not sure why our meal was so bad.

Only stopped in for a drink, but my experience was positive. The bartender was friendly, and my drink was cold. The atmosphere hasn’t changed much from Roosters.. you can even see the lighter squares on the wooden interior from where old decor was. I was told they had new decor on its way. I’ll update the rating when I eat something and can see the new decor.

We were out and about before the winter storm hits and just happened to stop in. Best choice of the day. My burger was awesome. I have a new place for my favorite onion rings because they were perfectly done. Service was good. Not too many people were in this afternoon, but we’ll for sure be back.

I stopped by Sunday evening (06/22/25) and got a mushroom Swiss burger and a beer. Wonderful place and a great burger! The bartender, Adrianna, was very nice. Great personality! Definitely get the By Golly sauce for dipping your fries! I will be back.
