Our pick for the last handful of family birthday dinners but this last visit was just satisfactory. Prime rib was fatty, usual great service was just ok with our server not present until 15 minutes after seating, awesome salad bar was still awesome and fully stocked. Realized that the value of the dinner wasn’t fully met. $300 for five adults and two kids is a bit too overpriced… not worth the value of salad bar as yummy as it is with the garlic bread. Our assistant server brought celebratory birthday ice cream and then later our regular server brought another not realizing one had already been given. Overall left with full bellies and even enough for leftovers. Would return for just salad bar.

Buzz’s Original Steak House has a great view of Pearl Harbor. Many rave that it has the best salad bar around. Every time my wife and I visit Oahu, Hawaii we make it a point to stop here on a date. Great service, nice view, best salad bar in town and amazing steaks. Make sure and call ahead for a reservation as the place books up fast.

The atmosphere, service, and food were all excellent. We ordered salmon and ribeye, both of which were prepared well, and the salad bar was well stocked and fresh. Our only complaint was the temperature in the dining area – it was absolutely freezing, and we huddled together for warmth during our meal.

Just had a nice dinner at Buzz’s with 4 guests. We had reservations and were seated right away, even though 2 of my guests had not arrived yet. We had a very nice and hardworking waitress that took very good care of us. We couldn’t decide between a couple bottles of wine so she actually brought us some samples to help us choose. The salad bar was ok on the selection and everything was fresh. I ordered the ribeye steak which was average in size and flavor but cooked the way I like my steaks. The desert ice cream cake was very good and a large portion. Make sure to save room for desert when you go. Parking can be an issue when they are busy.

This place was a bit pricey and menu options weren’t very great. I ordered the rack of lamb with the mashed potatoes and vegetables. I must say the mashed potatoes were the highlight of my meal. My husband ordered the sirloin and it was pretty okay. The salad bar i actually really enjoyed while my husband did not share the same experience. The garlic bread served at the salad bar was another highlight of the meal. There is no kids menu which was disappointing since we had brought our daughter along with us. The chairs and tables are cozy which is good considering how slow the service was. Also they dont have many drink options unless you’re in the mood for alcohol.

Definitely not worth it for the price. The menu was limited, but the salad bar was ok. The meat came out rarer than ordered for everyone in our party so it seems to be the way they do business. The decor and vibe of the place was more Zippy’s than “upscale steakhouse.” The parking situation is terrible. Stick with Ruth’s Chris if you want a great steak and don’t mind paying for it.

For the price, I was not impressed by the food. The prime rib was dry but the salad bar was pretty good. I was impressed by the wait staff though, as they were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Ambiance was a little dark but can be nice for a date.

Overpriced for value (even for Hawaii). There are better places for steak dinners in Hawaii, and at better cost. Salad bar is small, but fresh and tasty, so perfect to begin dinner (and all you can eat with most dinners). I had the NY strip, which comes with a vegetable medley of sorts. Cooked to my request (medium), vegetables still had a crunch to them that was nice. All in all a decent meal, just far more expensive than a few other places on island serving similar (and in a couple of cases better tasting) fare.

This steakhouse was overall a good experience. We came as a celebratory dinner for being the division champions in our sport. I had the King cut steak cooked Medium Rare (what I usually get) and it was great. However I personally think it was a little too rare, but our waiter did warn us, so just a heads up I guess. After the steaks were finished the manager was kind enough to grant us all a vanilla ice cream scoop over a brownie that was to die for. This was my first time here and I’m defiantly coming back. Also, unlimited salad bar for most steaks

Prime Rib, salad bar and mint chocolate chip pie. All good but not great. Like the view of Pearl Harbor. Somewhat pricey…but then what is NOT pricey in Hawaii. Bar lacks a sophisticated selection of spirits but then Buzz’s is in Pearl City and not Waikiki. I go because of memories of past days which I suspect many customers feel the same. And I will go back to Buzz’s again for remembrance of those glory days of my past.
