B and I went here and I didnt look at the reviews to start with. I got the shrimp and grits and b got the chicken sandwich. It was on point. The grits were creamy and yes they have some spice. Janay was our waitress and she was wonderful. The kitchen did not read the ticket right and she caught it and made them remake my order. Otherwise we would have had an issue with me being allergic to fish.

I was excited to come and support a new small owned business in the area, especially after seeing it on instagram.

Came in today and was seriously underwhelmed. Tables were dirty and people sitting and waiting for someone to come and at least remove from in front of them.

The location is small but you have to wait to be seated and was greeted by the woman at the bar telling across the space to tell me to wait and then for her to clear a table for me to sit.

Took 20 minutes to even be greeted and asked for my drink order. The woman who came in after me was greeted and served before me….despite her coming in 15 minutes after me.

The food was also underwhelming. Lack of seasoning and sausage in the sausage gravy. The scrambled eggs looked rubbery. Woman sitting next to us asked for a chicken breakfast sandwich and it was made with a chicken wing. So as she was eating it was wondering where all the meat was located.

The shrimp in the shrimp and grits were seasoned with Cajun seasoning and sautéed and placed on the side of the gravy. It wasn’t bad…but if there was better service…might have had it better.

The fried green tomatoes were dripping grease all over the greens. And were too wet to eat and enjoy!!

Not a place that I would really consider returning. Which is sad given the desire to support these new smaller businesses.

This was my first time coming to this restaurant and let me tell you, it was such an amazing experience. Lynn was my server and she definitely took care of our table. (7 ppl) The biscuit trio and chicken and waffles were delicious. I would say that you can tell the biscuit was fresh due to the crunch and the layers. But let me come to the conclusion. The restaurant is new, facing Stone Crest mall, the wait wasn’t that long and the food came out in a timely fashion. I would definitely come back and recommend it to others.

Square footage wise its not big but we were seated fairly fast. We had to ask server to wipe table b4 sitting, but not a deal breaker. Wait time for food was about 10 mins, given the amount of ppl there (full). Ambience was relative for a breakfast spot & giving its size, if you sit up front by door it tends to be pretty drafty. Food was good & I personally recommend the Taco pancakes. They were fluffy, tasty & filling (3). Overall w service I give it an 8.

I woke up with Buttermilk Biscuit on my brain. I had been meaning to visit this place for a while. Wifey was not really that hungry, but I still dragged her along anyway. We approached the property and found a spot in the shared parking lot, which was a decent size. We took a short walk over, entered and made eye contact with the young hostess at the far end of the small dining room. She motioned us over to a small table for two before handing us menus. We reviewed the menu quickly. Wifey stuck to her guns and decided not to eat. Our server came over shortly after. She was soft spoken and not very smiley, but she quickly took our order. I ordered the French Toast with bacon. Wifey went with just a coffee and an orange juice. I also noticed they had a self serve kiosk for ordering food. I am assuming that is for ordering food to go. We were hanging and enjoying the R&B classics playing in the background. The food took longer than expected, but every plate I saw pass by looked good. At one point, our server walked around us with two plates, a breakfast sandwich and French toast. That French toast made a full lap around the dining room before landing back at our table. When it arrived, it looked fresh. I dug in and it was light, not greasy and excellent. The meal was a winner! I finished quickly and asked for the check. Overall, this was a solid first visit to Buttermilk Biscuit. The dining room was bright and clean, and the food was fresh and delicious. Our main server was not very personable, had low energy and I was struggling to hear what she was saying, but most likely we will return.

I ordered a blueberry lemon zest biscuit with maple butter and peach “jam” and 4 Nashville hot chicken tenders through door dash but the order was immediately cancelled due to the restaurant being unable to fulfill it. I still went up there because my sister placed her order and they were able to fulfill hers and we had to pickup her meal. While I was there I decided to ask the lady at the front who greeted us for pickups were they out of the items I ordered and she seemed confused as to why my order was cancelled (Which is odd because I work in food service as well and work with door dash daily. You have to cancel it from the restaurant side when it states unable to fulfill) and I had shown her the money was taken from my account and the confirmation text. Door dash did say i’d get a refund in 3 days, however. The lady who was acting confused about my order said she didn’t know why it cancelled said she’d go check with the kitchen but when she came back she didn’t say anything to me? She just kept moving around and going back behind the curtain and didn’t acknowledge me anymore. My sister suggested i try to order again so i went to the kiosk and replaced my order and sat to wait and while I was waiting I made several observations. I thought it was funny my order could be made with me in the store all of a sudden. But, the customer service is SEVERELY poor.A girl with ginger hair had an attitude because her table sent back fried green tomatoes and she slammed the plate down at the main counter and said something under her breath. It’s a small space; so you can imagine everyone is looking wondering what’s going. As I’m sitting at a stool at the counter in front of their juice and coffee station this tall boy with locs keeps bumping me as he’s walking trying to give his a table a check and doesn’t say excuse me and I adjusted myself several times so he wouldn’t continue to bump me. But he never apologized. The lady who claimed to try to find out what happened to my order finally acknowledged me and asked did I ever get it fixed and i told her yes i just placed a new order on the in store kiosk. She said good and about 5 minutes later (20 minutes in total to wait so not bad) my order came out. I had to ask for the maple butter and peach “jam” that i already included in my order. ( it was more like compote. Definitely not a jam) and we took it to go. I should have inspected my bag more thoroughly before leaving because when i opened the bag and got into the box it was actually a joke what i came across but i let it go because i was already annoyed from waiting so long, being lied to and dealing with poor customer service and rude employees. My pictures are posted so you can know there is no exaggeration when i say the chicken was scrawny, cold and sweet(?) it’s nashville hot idk why it had sweetness to it, the biscuit was hard on the outside and lacked flavor. I was extremely disappointed and annoyed over all and it’s frustrating because I work in food service as well and would never treat my guests this way, give them this poor excuse for a meal or this experience. It’s proper jokes and I don’t expect them to be in the community long at all. Visit at your own risk.⚠️

Visited here on September 16th for a birthday breakfast. The positive….Good location, very close to stonecrest mall and in the same plaza as Angie’s place. Greeted when we came in and no problem with finding a seat. Server brought our menus over fairly quickly. My niece ordered the very berry french toast without the seasonal berries and a side of grits. My other niece ordered the morning dish breakfast without the seasonal berries and I ordered the Cajun shrimp and grits minus the cherry tomatoes with a side of white toast. My niece thoroughly enjoyed her grits, and her French toast. The shrimp and grits was decent. Additionally the server Trinity was very friendly. The negatives…… According to the menu the shrimp and grits was supposed to have peppers and onions, and there was none, as shown in the photo, not a lot of sauce on the grits. I prefer shrimp and grits with cheese grits but these were just white grits, so I asked for a cup of shredded cheese, and I never did receive the toast so it was taken off the final bill. My niece with the morning breakfast French toast had barely any powdered sugar on it, as you can see in the photo, so she did ask for more powdered sugar. Also the very berry French toast is supposed to be brioche bread but did not appear to be brioche, just seemed like a regular bread, and what you see in the picture on her plate is $15. And the lemonade very very sweet, overly sweet.

Seen this restaurant and came back to try it. The inside was underwhelming and for a brunch place on a Saturday, there were not many people. No wait, we were seated and server never cleaned the table as asked. The food portions were horrible, both of our entrees were $19. For the seafood basket, I should have gotten more than a handful of fries with 3 small catfish nuggets and 3 burnt shrimp. The chicken and waffles was a small portion as well, if I’m paying almost $20 I should get more than 4 kid sized waffles and 3 chicken wings. The grease was also old, you can tell by the outside of the food. The server only came twice after taking our order, once to bring the food and once after we were done. Did not get refills, had to request someone else to bring it and also had to ask for the biscuit that was supposed to come with the meal two different times before they brought it out. Very disappointed, was looking forward to trying a new brunch place nearby and it was horrible. Normally I do not write reviews ever, as this may actually be my first time, but I was excited to try this and it might be one of the worst brunch experiences I’ve ever had.

I saw a post on Instagram about a new restaurant in the area and got super excited, so I grabbed my daughter, my son, and my daughter-in-law and we decided to try it out.

The restaurant definitely has a lot of potential, though the space is very small. I ordered the fish and grits, and my son ordered the waffle breakfast sandwich. For the price, I agree with another recent review—the portions are very small.

I was expecting my fish and grits to be more traditional, but it wasn’t. It came as a small bowl of buttermilk grits (with a lot of buttermilk), a small fried piece of fish on the side, and a biscuit. My son’s waffle breakfast sandwich honestly looked like it belonged on the kids’ menu, and he was pretty disappointed. I went ahead and paid for it so he wouldn’t return it and make a fuss.

On a positive note, the customer service was friendly, and the atmosphere and music were nice. Unfortunately, based on the portion sizes and value, I don’t think I’ll be returning.
