So good, we came twice in one weekend. My husband and I were on our way to Theodore Roosevelt National Park, and our route took us through Bismarck. We stopped at Butterhorn for supper on our way there, and we shared the burger. It was seriously one of the best burgers I’ve ever had – super flavorful with great toppings, perfectly cooked. The drinks were pricier than I thought they deserved to be, so I’d probably skip those next time. On our way back, it was Easter Sunday, and they were open for brunch. We got a butterhorn (with the cinnamon butter – amazing) and split the chicken and waffles. The chicken was perfectly crispy, and the waffle had bacon in it. The syrup was Tabasco maple syrup, which was something totally different. Yes, it was pricey, but the quality was there. The service was great, as was the atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend Butterhorn, and I’d definitely stop again should I find myself in Bismarck!

Bartender Nathan was very welcoming, incredibly friendly, and professional.
I had an NA cocktail (Rose Red Slippers), a butterhorn, a cup of the bisque, and the jalapeño arancini. Everything was delicious and served at a great temperature. I enjoyed my meal and would happily return.

Discovered this place when researching farm to table places in town. Was delighted by the atmosphere and customer service. The butterhorns were delicious. Fun cocktail menu and good wine selection too. The kale salad was good not too heavily dressed. The salmon was very crispy and the smashed potatoes too. Large servings! Would go again if a local or in town.

Had an excellent time with my mother here at Butterhorn. The menu items now have improved since the first two years y’all been open. Glad that y’all have small plates. We love them. Please keep that going. Not many places do that. Plus, Nathan gave excellent service, explained in detail the items on the menu. Thank you Butterhorn and Thank You Nathan.

Fricken awesome! Places like this should be packed all the time but maybe we just showed up early. Real food done amazing and nothing like you can get anywhere else. Drinks are amazing too! I can’t believe how amazing the price was for everything. I expected to pay double for cuisine like this!

I’ve been absolutely delighted with every single dish I’ve tried since this restaurant opened. It never disappoints. The chef provides a menu that changes seasonally and everything is fresh and homemade. The butterhorns are a must try for newbies. They will literally melt in your mouth.

We started with some amazing appetizers, Artichoke app was spot on but what got the most praise was the meatballs, they where simply put- brilliant! We didn’t had a chance to try their bread since they run out of it. Beef tenderloin was simply melting in your mouth but the brussel sprouts where way overcooked. Mushrooms pasta was rich, creamy and delicious. Though, a little bit more mushrooms inside would enhance the visual experience as well. Service could’ve been little bit more attentive.

Pretentious setting with unique offerings. One of the finer dining experiences available in the area. I ordered one of the Eggs Benedict options, and my test for the quality of a poached egg is the whites not being runny, you might not have the same expectation. As for flavors the breakfast was unimpressive but not bad. Where they shine, is in the name. Their butterhorn is what it’s all about, I’ll attempt another visit and try the corned beef hash next time, the atmosphere and options make this restaurant worth visiting, you may fall in love, and as for their butterhorn it won’t leave you disappointed.

Becca was our server. She was amazing at explaining the menu, and telling us a little about the restaurant as well. The food came out absolutely perfect. The dessert was very unique I loved it. We shared dessert there was definitely enough for two. I would definitely go back if we are in Bismarck again. Thank you Becca again for a great experience.
