We came in for dinner before a concert down the street. We got seated right away and the initial server was great. He took our drink order right away. After that, he had brought a server in training to take our order. This girl had absolutely no customer service skills. Seemed like she literally had never even been a hostess to have any customer interaction. She was extremely awkward when she was at our table. We understand she may have been nervous, but she should have just been following the server to see what he was doing and how he was interacting with customers. We never saw the initial server after he took our drink order. Food was ok, but nothing I would go back for.

Overall, I would say this was an unexpected gem. I was on vacation and stopped in here for breakfast.
It took a while for someone to greet me when I walked in. Once seated, my server was very polite and friendly.
At this point I am the only patron in the establishment. My food took ~18 minutes to come out. The gravy on my biscuit was very cold… I took it to the bar and they promptly apologized and made me a new one. The new one came out visibly steaming. The rest of the food was satisfactory.
Since I’m on vacation- the right choice is to always have pie after breakfast… I opted for the pumpkin (as pictured). The pie was very good both in presentation and taste.
The view from my table is spectacular (also pictured). The restaurant looked very clean as were the bathrooms.

Came here to try there breakfast and it did not disappoint. Biscuits and gravy with green chile are amazing. Cool place to eat very friendly atmosphere

We made a late night stop, and we had such a delightful experience. Extremely clean and in tip top condition. The service was among some of the friendliest we’ve encountered. Keep up the excellent service, James! The food was just as expected and quite enjoyable. My husband especially enjoyed the chicken fried steak with green chili gravy. Would certainly return next time we’re in El Paso.

James was our Server and I must say…. He provided the best service I have ever receive in El Paso since coming to El Paso 5 years ago. He sat us took our order, made recommendations on the food, served the food, came and checked on us after we got our food at least twice, gave us our check without us asking for it, gave us extra napkins… again without us asking for it and cleared our plates after we were done eating. Very accomodating!!! I wish everyone was as detailed oriented and accomodating as he was! Kudos to Butter Smiths manager for the great hire!

As Tex mex as it gets. I ordered “chilaquiles” but were basically nachos with sauce. No they’re not the same thing lol. They tasted pretty good though, which is why I gave it 4 stars.

Just relocated to El Paso and This place really hit the mark for breakfast! They have all the menu all the time. The steak was well-cooked and the yogurt crunch was on point. The servers and the team were really smiling and very friendly. Abby and Dede really made my day today ! The whole team is smiling and the smile comes through the food! Thanks !

Mt waitress Ms. Angela was so so kind and quick.. manager Eli also very caring… Things are different now. About 6 months ago the service was very slow, not enough workers although food is exquisitely delicious I had Cajun chicken and shrimp. The chicken breast was so juicy n full of flavor. Omg things are way better now with enough workers handling things.. Great improvement guys thank you

The food was too spicy for me and I couldn’t eat much. I didn’t like at all, but for sure was the choice I made. I’m definitely going back to try other items of the menu. The coffe was amazing. Matthew was a great server and you can tell that he wanted to make our experience the best possible. He was very sweet and helpful. He made our brunch better!! THANK YOU MATTHEW!!!
