I just love their salad! Even if you don’t generally like salad.. try it! So fresh.. and their rice and peas is GREAT. It doesn’t taste stale like a lot of popular Broward Caribbean lunch/dinner spots. I love that the food isn’t oily or too salty either. Game changer! The price is reasonable (hate that I have to pay extra for breast and wing though), the place is CLEAN and the wait time wasn’t bad at all. Repeat Customer for sure. Highly recommend.

Update: went back and got an fried chicken lunch special. A chopped thigh? Wow chicken is very cheap. A customer should at least receive an leg quarter (leg and thigh) worth of meat. Also they still only have the cheapest sides, which is salad. Customer service hasn’t improved, attitudes still bad; in my opinion.
Update: 8/15/22 Place has somewhat gone downhill. Use to me a pretty decent spot for a grab besides the stinginess with meat and gravy, the food has been awful lately the previous two times I’ve been has been absolutely awful and I won’t be back. Waste of money. Goat plate full of peppery BONE no meat.
They have good food, very authentic, good flavor. My issue here is small meat portions!! And poor customer service. Don’t even be packed here and they rush you to order as if you know the menu automatically… also they never really have steam veg or cabbage as a side mainly only the cheapest thing which is salad.

I found out about Butter Flakes from watching Jamaica Food Boss. I used to live in Miami and one of my favorite activities to do was to drive to Broward County and try all the amazing West Indian food spots. My favorite Jamaican meal is curry goat with rice and peas and cabbage. Butter Flakes came through with solid flavors! The goat meat was so tender and well-seasoned as was the gungo peas and rice. The salad was really fresh and nicely complemented the spicy goat meat. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and everyone there was friendly. I’ll be back!

I ordered the large oxtail at Butter Flakes Bakery & Grill. The oxtail itself was flavorful, but the order came with only two very small slices of plantain. When I called to ask, I was told that those two slices cost $3. Considering the price of the meal, I expected a more substantial portion of sides. I hope the restaurant will consider adjusting their portions for better value.

I was very pleased with the service and timeliness. Will recommend for accuracy and service. Wish I had been given an option for the rice and peas: pigeon peas or red beans. Wish the jerk chicken was crisper. Good flavor though

Butter Flake catered my event. I ordered curry goat, brown stew chicken, fried chicken, and jerk chicken. The food was excellent. All my guest ask where the food came from and was licking their fingers. I was so pleased. They worked with me on the price and made an exception to deliver. Only issue, please stress that you want the curry goat mild in order to get medium spicy. Excellent food. You can’t go wrong using their catering services.
