Update 06/15/25, Friendly staff, look at pics for pricing. Update.. Prices jumped, through the Roof, with way smaller portions. Minimalize what you order. $5 for 20 chips and small portion of guac.

If you are starving and out of options this is just fine. Staff and pricing for portions was nice and the strawberry margarita tasted good. That’s where the good stops. The hard tacos are stale, the meat on both chicken and beef for burrito and taco are bland and lack luster. The “alarm” hot sauce is less than pace mild salsa and the mild is a sweet sauce. The burrito supreme comes with banana peppers when paired with the hottest sauce caused a really odd sweet mix of flavor that doesn’t blend with the meat at all. Overall I’m full but disappointed and won’t return unless it’s an emergency and other options aren’t possible.

Isn’t bad at all, but also won’t knock your socks off. The food is clean and well packaged, ingredients are clean and simple. I had 4 different tacos and sadly, there just wasn’t much flavor. All tacos come with basics: lettuce, tomato, cheese, a splash of their house brand salsa and the main meat or vegetable. Mine tasted pre-made. Chicken was pretty dry and room temp (not warm) and the beef/beef and bean was the same way. It was affordable. Got 4 tacos, a chicken burrito, and 3 paquitos for around $20. If you’re dead set on authentic Mexican and gourmet tacos, burritos, etc. then do some light homework and research. This is more along the lines of “I’m hungry, it’s convenient, and it’s simple.” All condiments/extras are priced at .80 cents per item. I.e.- .80 for sour cream per taco. If you’re going to spend $4-$8+ per taco with all the fixings, may want to consider somewhere else. If you’re hungry, want something relatively quick and simple, check it out. It’ll scratch the itch enough if you take it as it comes, or just need something to eat to hold you over.

Location, location, location. Perfect spot for some great fast food. I had the Chicken Supreme. It was good, fresh, not to spicy, peppers and olives were noticeably good. My friend had the Chiwawa Chili Dog. Ok, I had a small bite of it. Good dog, lots of cheese, and the ben was just baked fresh. Friendly service and reasonable prices. I’d go back.

A wonderful place along the boardwalk in Grand Haven. One of our regular stops! Had to amend my rating to 4 stars. Online, they show that they’re open until 8:00pm. Unfortunately, they just closed at 7:00 right before we arrived. We made a special trip. It’s a little disappointing…

Honestly, save yourself $9.00 and just go to Taco Bell. Burrito was basically the smallest sliver of meat, bean and cheese and then a massive amount of lettuce. Salsas are watery and the hot tastes like blended pickled jalapeños. I wasn’t expecting much coming from the western part of the country, but this was pretty bad. Step it up guys, you got a great location and atmosphere so make the food fit.

Great spot for some quick tacos. I love getting the chicken supreme and will sometimes get a chicken taco to really fill me up. The salad rocks too. It’s a favorite to grab earlier in the evening and take it to the beach for the sunset!

Don’t bother going to this place. Take your money else where seriously…. The tacos are a rip off for what you pay for . Hardly any meat (literally a thin layer) on the tacos. The shredded melted cheese on the bottom (who does that). It was mostly all lettuce inside an over sized taco shell (10 inch shell) that was folded at the bottom and rolled up. Served with really bland salsa. Nothing had any flavor. Better off going to Taco Bell than this place

My family and I enjoy eating at Butch’s Beach Burritos. Good food, friendly customer service, reasonable prices, and right by the water in Grand Haven. You can’t really go wrong here. I don’t think we’ve ever tried something that we didn’t like. Definitely recommend!

Don’t read the tourists’ reviews! Butch’s sells “Beach Burritos” – these are not meant to be traditional Mexican burritos! If that’s what you’re expecting, I can understand your confusion and even dissatisfaction. Butch’s are light, juicy and refreshing. They are supposed to be gooshing with salsa, spilling out crunchy lettuce, and bright with the tang of banana peppers, olives, and sour cream (can you tell I’m partial to supreme?) While the meat (chicken is best!) and beans are warm, the overall mouth feels is cool and refreshing from the California-esq toppings. The XL but thin flour burrito shell is designed to hold all that juiciness in – consume with paper ON, peeling back as you go for best results!
Butch’s is a Grand Haven icon, and I’m so glad the new owners are continuing ol’ Butch’s legacy. Now I’m craving one… !
