The atmosphere felt authentic and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive. It’s not easy to find BBQ done this well anymore.
Places like this deserve real community support to stay in the market. If you appreciate quality food made with care, make sure to stop by and show them some love. We need to keep spots like this around!
It was okay… the ratio of brisket to Mac n cheese to tortilla is off in my opinion. I bet with extra brisket it’d be much better. Wife liked her fries.
Service was great… as was the michelada!
They have a wild menu of some man vs food stuff that’s know and epic. But I didn’t know about any of that until we went there.
I had the BBQ Loaded Fries, Texas Twinkie, and a THC drink. All of which were great. Loved the brisket fries and sweet sauce with the queso.
I like my Texas Twinkie with a sweet BBQ sauce as well, but they don’t do that here, it was still legit. Nice bacon wrap on it.
Place is cute, clean and has a great vibe.
Our server Lily was the best – bubbly, friendly, knew everything about the money and had thoughts on the drink as well.
Love it, will be be back.
I don’t have to tell you how expensive the menu items are, but I wanted to try it before dumping more on a high ticket item so I ordered the nachos. Bag chips with melted Velveeta style cheese, Pico de gallo, raw white onion, pickles, and pickled jalapeno.
There was some brisket underneath chopped up small and I found it to be really fatty.
The raw onion is out of place and wasn’t diced. 2 pickled items only added to the saltiness. I didn’t eat much as it was salty as hell. The waitress was nice enough to bring me some lean brisket from the kitchen. So I did get to try the actual brisket. At first I picked up the smoke flavor, but it ended with a salty finish.
The inside seats look nice in appearance, however, they are super narrow under you. It was so uncomfortable.
I could never justify spending these prices for bbq that isn’t the best quality in San Antonio. Everything here is some unusual version of something else. They don’t have a straight bbq plate and thats too bad.
Hire a cook that cares.
After all the hype on Tiktok, we were very excited to try this place. EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED. The meat was not seasoned and cut incorrectly. A true grill master knows you should cut against the grain. The queso was was barely hot so it was thick and clumpy. The Mac and cheese tasted like it was days old. I guess you have to be drunk to eat here. The customer service was pretty good. The cashier tried to accommodate as best she could.
